I don't know if it is possible but if it is I'd like to add easy presets to the modular matrix. The problem now is that when you save a modular matrix the modulation assignments aren't saved with it, which is understandable, but in the future for MYYY IMO it would be useful to save things as new modules that can be easily manipulated. Basically I want modulators hard wired into these presets and for them not to take normal modulator spots.

For example a while ago I made a cinematic drum sound and saved it as a preset. I'd like to use 4 or more instances at a time. Of course in MPS I can open multiple MPS modules in the matrix, but when I do this the modulators for things like the LFO and randomization don't work. I'd like a new module with an easy screen where LFOs ect work just like they did in the original preset.

With this we could make our own modules for things like pluck sounds, drum sounds, analog synth emulations, etc and share them. For MPS, I don't think this is that important, although it would be nice, but for the upcoming MYYY it would be really helpful as it would save time for those that want to layer sounds. It would also be good for those that aren't so confident in their sound design abilities, as it would let others do some of the work for them. I hope I explained this clearly enough and I hope it is possible on a technical level.

Completely agree! I asked for this a little while ago, but didn't get anywhere. Vojtech said that it could be possible. We are almost there now, if you look at TurboComp inside MXXX it has its own active presets.
The simplest way would be to add Multiparameter and Modulator to the FX list. Then we could use them within a module and save the module as an active preset.

I'm afraid as far as I remember, I checked, and it just wont be possible. It would take like months of development to do the "restructuralization" needed for this, which I'm just not willing to give, sorry. It might be possible to add second version of Modular FX, that would have ONLY multiparameters automatable. So like MXXX inside MXXX, but you couldn't automate/modulate the subeffects directly, only via submultiparameters. And I'm not even sure if that would actually work :D

If it would work, that would be great. Although the new modular FX would need its own mods as well as MPs. Its kind of already done, as it works in TurboComp inside MXXX.

Also the new modular FX would need its own easy/edit screen switch.

This would allow us to make complex mini module presets and then load say 3 or 4 of them in MXXXs modular slots, without having to worry about assignments to the global MPs and modulators.

I'll try. As far as I remember the problem was in the modularity of parameters - trying to access a parameter of any sublevel with a global mod/multi was impossible without crashes and stuff :). Complex things... even I'm now lost in it :D

Would totally be okay for me though. ;)

That is basically what I'd want. I don't think people need to automate every subparameter to make an interesting module. If we were only able to control the things on the easy preset screen, what would be enough. One of the reasons I suggested this for MYYY is because I'm guessing it isn't close to finished, so you don't have to worry about it breaking backwards compatibility. If it can't be done I understand, but if it is possible, IMO it would be a killer feature that would put MYYY way ahead of other modular synths.

Added! I'm absolutely not sure about stability though :D, seems fine so far, but... :D There's some hidden black magic with all the modules inside modules inside modules...

Thanks, I can't wait to try this out. I understand that it might not be stable, so I'm worried it may not make it to a final release, but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed. I'm excited.

Hehe so far everything seems fine, just don't be surprised :D. I hope you won't be... :D
