I know it's free but:
(a) Tab, from the virtual keyboard or a real one, inserts a single character, not tabbing,
(b) the Edit cursor sometime disappears,
(c) the Edit cursor position is not always where the edits take place (may be caused by the font widths),
(d) the keyboard icon in the main editing window displays a second keyboard or even a second draggable edit window,
(e) After writing my notes I would like to collapse the virtual keyboard out of the way.

+1
I use notepad a lot to document processes in mxxx, it's awesome. Any improvements would be welcome.

Well, you know, it's really an utility, so I want to spend as little time on it as possible. So:
a) Sorry, but no.
b) I noticed that! And have no idea why. Did you notice something that would trigger it? (like jumping from a window to window...) I couldn't really simulate it, and without it it's quite impossible to fix.
c) Really? I would need some screenshots/settings/something.
d) That's correct. As you know, some hosts like Reaper doesn't provide correct keyboard input in the main window, so this is a way to make it work.
e) I'll think about that.

(b) I cannot recall how I did it (window-jumping may have been involved) - I'll try again,
(c) ditto,
(d) typing from my keyboard into the main window in Reaper (and other DAWs) works fine here (I think I asked about that other window some time ago).

(d) Really? In Reaper? Isn't it always making uppercase characters or something?
