Sylenth1 clone in mux

It seems deleting pm''s is a common theme here! Never mind, I'll post my idea on the forum to see if others like it...
It seems some consider mux synth to be on a par with sylenth. I suggested to jo about making a sylenth clone that can load sylenth presets. And sell it for around 80 euros. I'm sure there be many takers.

I you mean a direct clone, and to directly import competitors presets, I think it be wouldn't be legal and an enormous amount of work to do so, if not impossible. And also completely unnecessary

I understand what you're saying. But legally, I can't see an issue. Fxb is a standard preset used in many VST's. And he the clone is made in mux and locked just as musynth is then there's no legal issues there either.
It's only a legal issue if you use use code from the original. If you can prove you made a clone using your own methods, programming, construction ideas, there's no legal issue. It's no different from ReactOS. It's a windows clone! No legal issues there!

Just one question....why ?
P.S
another question,
why would you want to when you are going to buy a license for Sylenth anyway ?

I received a message saying the author deleted the pm. It's not an accusation jo, it's a fact. Don't think I'm having a go cos I'm not.

1. It'd help jo by making more products and more revenue.
2. It's cheaper than sylenth.
3. Shows how powerful mux is.
4. Possibly more stable than using a VST, he using mulab that is.
5. Well, you get the idea now

I just cleaned up my PM inbox after having replied to you, that's all. Nothing wrong with that, right?sl23 wrote:Here we go again...mutools wrote:Are you accusing me?sl23 wrote:It seems deleting pm''s is a common theme here!

any idea how many work it would be to try to emulate all the minuscule details and behaviors of the oscillators, filters, envelopes, effects, etc. etc. and all related parameters, from the ear, in order to come close to having an almost exact sounding and behaving clone?
It would take a project built (coded) from the ground up I think, because it wouldn't be possible to do it with the current modules in mux. Yes, there are oscillators and filters and envelopes, effects, etc. in there already of course, but they don't behave or sound identical to S1 at all (not worse, but different).

Nothing at all, but you might want to be a bit more careful what you're deleting, that's allmutools wrote:I just cleaned up my PM inbox after having replied to you, that's all. I understand that, but I only meant a mux clone not a complete program clone.Nielzie wrote:any idea how many work it would be to try to emulate all the minuscule details and behaviors of the oscillators, filters, envelopes, effects, etc. etc. and all related parameters, from the ear, in order to come close to having an almost exact sounding and behaving clone?

I apologise for trying to help jo with his predicament, won't happen again.

But aren't there already a patches from the mux device "Silencio" (hence the name) from Trancit that are loosely based on the layout/structure/sound of Sylenth1?

I didn't know that. Can it load sylenth presets? That would be a killer feature would it not?
