New to synthesis so just going through some of the patches I like in the the public beta and re-programming not much programming but hey helps when starting from init and seeing how each parameter affects the sound. Anyways!
The patch is very simple as you can see. after re-programming it I've found out that what gives it the sound/charracter that I like is the effect that is on it (lyrebird).
I'm having a hard time to figuring out what parameter gives it that fading/pitch(pitch?) modulation on key-release. I've looked in the manuals but to no avail. Also all the modulators are in off state. In the original patch. I've pretty much got my patch matching the original settings in the pling patch, they sound the same when I bypass the effects on the original. Even with lyrebird settings matching value for value. I can't get the pitch down on key-release. I think there's some magic going on. If anybody could help me please I would appreciate it. I've spent all night a-b-ing but to no success.
Thanks.

Seems it is Lyrebird's "Time" being modulated (on the Perform section, in the Keys tab) with a negative value by Wavefolder AR, which is both the Attack (A) and Release (R) on the Jaws wavefolder.

Obviously the AR envelope in the JAWS module also works for modulation if the JAWS module is not activated. You could check that when changing the values for the AR envelope there.mr_cxxl wrote:Ok I hear you but how is the time being modulated? Can't see how that's being done in the original patch. The jaws module is deactivated, no?
The fact that the Lyrebird effect is involved with the final sound of the patch could be easily noticed when switching this off or using the "Bypass FX" button that switches off all effects.
Concerning mod destinations the effects parameters only seem to be available if the related effect is activated. With the mod sources this seems to be different and those are always visible/usable.
Due to that with the AR envelope in the JAWS module you always got a 3rd envelope available for modulation.

I totally missed the bit in bold (A ha!). Thanks for that. Thanks for the extra explanation aswell Ingo.pottering wrote:Seems it is Lyrebird's "Time" being modulated (on the Perform section, in the Keys tab) with a negative value by Wavefolder AR, which is both the Attack (A) and Release (R) on the Jaws wavefolder.
