I've been using T7 for about a week now. I have a project that contains about 8 tracks - all audio. It's registering about 20% on the cpu.. but I'm finding that using arrange page - zooming, moving around etc. is very laggy. Copying and pasting is especially laggy. I'm sometimes waiting 3 or 4 seconds for the screen to 'catch up' with my action. Anyone else finding this behaviour?

T7 is laggy on my mac but mainly with animated plugin UI.
But no 3-4 s long laggs.

I found that turning off 'hi res waveforms' helped a bit. The 3 second long lags happen when I copy and paste a lot of audio at the same time - like copying a whole region of the arrangement. I'm coming from Reaper where there's no lag at all for things like this (unless you're getting close to maxing the cpu).

Have you updated your graphics driver to the latest version?
Also make sure Windows isn't doing an update in the background (there'll be a TiWorker.exe process in TaskManager) and that Defender isn't killing your computer (MsMpEngine.exe).
I don't get any problems on mine unless those are occurring.

GPU is always updated.. I've had Defender disabled since as long as I can remember on Windows and, as I'm a Vista user, I've had updates permanently disabled since about 2012fromwithin wrote:Have you updated your graphics driver to the latest version?

I've given up on T7 for now.. it's fine and fun for light work but it just can't cope with the kind of projects I routinely work on

I'm on Win XP still. NO laggy GUI at all.
You could also try: turn off > Options > Run audio engine when stopped
(It is a per edit option. So you have to disable it in every edit.)
