What I do have is a problem with some of the plugins randomly failing to authorise when I load a project. It also seems to cause other iLok plugins to fail to authorise as well if they're in the same project.

It's a shame, as they're beautiful reverbs.
Well it seems to be a bug with the Lexicon reverbs. Apparently, they load whatever the LAST font you installed on your system is. But only for the drop down menus. Bizarre. When I install a new font, the font on the reverbs changes to that font!

Kind of annoying since I am a web and graphic designer and install new fonts ALL THE TIME, including handwritten and script fonts.

What an idiotic bug. This stupid little thing could actually be a deal breaker for me because of all the fonts I use.

And yes, they do seem to sound amazing. So it is a shame there are issues like this. The entire interfaces are a bit small, but I can get past that if I could just read the freakin' text.

So best deal may be at Arturia for those already owning some Arturia plugs.
not had the email yet, but I can see when I log in that I can do that offer too from my old v3 collection - makes it a no brainer to have the expanded gui and synclavier.

only thing making me hesitate is whether they will extend this offer to their resellers, adding a bit of extra discount into the mix.

Totally predictable. I remember when V5 came out and I said that it was overpriced as an upgrade and there were choruses of "it's a great value just for the Synclav....blah blah", yep, and here we are, less than a year later, and it's priced where I knew that it would be at some point.

It's good until January as well, so I'm not even going to get it until after the sales. Does anyone here have V3 but not V4? I'm curious what your upgrade price is?

Post

Bought v4 full for $69 in an Arturia crossgrade offer. Not upgrading for $99.
The upgrade from v3 to v4 last year was $69 too.

Post

aaaahhh I was waiting for it.
50% on arturia upgrades...(the 199 euros-upgrade was RIDICULOUS)

where to find it cheaper? what shop carries upgrades as well as the complete collection?

Arturia V5 from 4 upgrade worth it? is the engine of the old instruments better sounding? What do you guys think? Also us there a limit on license tranfers for arturia? I bought my v4 used. if I buy v5 will i be able to sell/trade?

I'm really waiting for sound toys bundle. I hope we get a bf deal on that.

AFAIK, you will be able to sell it, with your V4, the upgrade links your license.

I think that it's a lot better deal than the absurd introductory offer. That said, for me, the only real value in it is the Synclavier and I would want to revisit whether or not I want it based on that alone.

This is why I want to know what the offer is for people with V3 because, truth be told, I'd just as soon skip this upgrade and get the next one. They claim to have improved the Mini filter, I didn't really evaluate it extensively because I don't care. I did want them to improve the 2600 and Jupiter filters and, to my ears, they did not.

I do think that the pianos and organs are usable, but not stunning. But, I have analog lab 2 which I believe was a free upgrade for V4 owners and so I have all of those models in their limited preset variants so, for me, that's more than enough for the pianos, organs, and string machines given how much I like them in the first place.

See, I'm I just going to wait for V6. BTW: that is actually a pretty good value. You get the M12 and the Synclav along with all of the other pianos, organs, and string machines and the much better user interfaces.

Arturia seems to update the V collection every other year, so might as well wait for V6, aint gonna be too long before it hits the shops, a year, a year-and-a-half tops

Getting a lot of offers this month that can be summarized as: Black Friday starts now

But most of these offers are not better than regular offers

Obviously the vendors sending out such newsletters want that users spend their money early, instead of waiting until the REAL Black Friday deals appear next Friday.

Moral = Don't get fooled by imitations, and keep your powder dry :borg:

There really isn't enough in V5 for me to want to upgrade. I'll hold off and see what V6 has.
