I saw Hans Zimmer on some TV show on PBS TV (I'm in the USA), just last night. Some show called Sound Breaker or something like that. The show started out guitar-oriented, then moved into synth stuff. Then the Black Keys recording harpsichord. Kind of odd how it jumped around. OK, I watched the trailer. That keyboard Hans plays has super-thick keys.

That's the new show called Soundbreaking. It's been excellent. Sir George Martin was involved in getting it off the ground prior to his death, and each episode so far has covered a different aspect of recording (the role of the producer, using the studio as an instrument, getting vocals, etc.). Anyone who frequents upon these forums should check it out if they get the opportunity.aaron aardvark wrote:I saw Hans Zimmer on some TV show on PBS TV (I'm in the USA), just last night. I gotta eat dinner before I watch the links.

Yes, the show was interesting, even if I wasn't sure what the episode was trying to focus on. I don't think I saw the whole episode. My wife called it to my attention. Maybe the show will end up on youtube someday.

Try here. It's public broadcasting in the United States so they may allow free streaming. Looks like episode 3 is available in full, hopefully there are no country/region restrictions:surreal wrote:Is there anyway to get these episodes.. What's the level of music knowledge required to enter the course? I'd be interested but I don't want to waste $90 if it's above my level.

As someone reported on the web page, the pre-enrollment link does not work. Eg.:
Page not found
The requested page "/2016/11/www.masterclass.com" could not be found.
Does it work for anyone else ?
