Hello,
I have a Novation Launch Control XL, which looks like an 8 channel mixer. Each knob, slider, or button can be set to send just about any MIDI message to any channel. I've been playing with the MIDI mapping, target, and focus options in MuLab but am having difficulty sending the proper messages to eight tracks regardless of GUI focus. Is the best option to set each MuLab track to a different MIDI channel and each column of controls in the Novation device to a corresponding MIDI channel and then set MuLab auto MIDI focus OFF?

PS: Is anyone else using a controller designed for Ableton Live with MuLab?

If you want to have 'project global' MIDI mappings, then click the main "Modular" button to switch to the project modular area, there click the Options button (at the top-left) and use Map MIDI Controller / Edit MIDI Controller Map to create project global mappings. Another way to do the same is: MuLab -> "PROJECT" menu -> "Edit Project MIDI Input Controller Map".
The MIDI mappings on project level will work independent from the Focused Target.
