Yes, and it won't be I think. I remember there were some changes in the last update, but I think this one is the thing that won't be changed. If I remember correctly it's because the gain may jump up and down, so the system represents absolute maximum... something like that

Maybe I misunderstand : I can see that those meters might show the maximum values, but a negative gain should be shown as a - number (even though the 'maximum' of a gain range from -16 dB to 0 dB is 0 !).

I set the Dynamics of Band 4 to -24dB, so that the level would never increase. The meters on the band's Settings page show a level of -15.4 (as expected) but a gain value of 16 dB; imo that should read -16.00 as shown by with the meter bars

Not if you modulate/change it for example. Anyway I consider such a minor thing, that it is not really worth spending more time.

I agree. Why not just put a minus sign in front of it?DarkStar wrote:Maybe I misunderstand : I can see that those meters might show the maximum values, but a negative gain should be shown as a - number (even though the 'maximum' of a gain range from -16 dB to 0 dB is 0 !).

How hard is it to understand your language? And how hard is it for a computer?
