Shoot!! I just got back from putting the money on my Paypal and now Studio One v2 Producer is out of stock on JRR Shop. I'm hoping they'll have some more in soon but I doubt it.

That's a shame. It's a great price for a very nice DAW. Maybe Uncle E can do something?xphen0m wrote:Shoot!! I just got back from putting the money on my Paypal and now Studio One v2 Producer is out of stock on JRR Shop. I'm hoping they'll have some more in soon but I doubt it.![]()

I just got the NI email about Acoustic Strummer 2. I have version 1, but I didn't see any upgrade option to 2 other than the full price of $99.
Is there an upgrade price somewhere that I'm missing?
If not, is there a holiday 1/2 price sale due to come up for Xmas?
I didn't see this one on the list of Komplete Ultimate 11 instruments. Is it? Or is it just v. 1?
Thanks for your insight.
Cheers

In an overview video, NI describe Acoustic Strummer 2 as really "Part 2" . The guitars sampled are completely different so it's actually a sequel to v.1 rather than a newer version of v.1. That probably explains the lack of an upgrade. NI will keep selling both versions, I suppose.
I'll admit it's confusing. A crossgrade price would be nice.
Since it's new, it will likely be excluded from NI's usual Black Friday sale (which is usually 50% nearly all single products).

I really rate both Blackhole and the API 2500 compressor, two great plugins there.
Blackhole does amazing larger-than-life reverbs. I struggle to get a bad sound out of it (well, ok, I could turn the reverb size really small and turn the feedback up really high, but who does that?) It's more of an effect than a realistic space creator, and a very nice effect too.
The API 2500 is wonderful on the drum bus - it can push up the transients in a lovely way and give your drums some smack.
They're well worth demoing to see if they'll work in your context.

Yeah, i can only recommend checking out the Eventide sale, you can get both Blackhole and UltraReverb for about $130, which is an awesome deal, my 2 go-to reverb plugins.counterparty wrote:I really rate both Blackhole and the API 2500 compressor, two great plugins there.

I recently got Vocalign Project 3. Does anyone know if the Precision Time Align/Time Delay is anything different? I can't find too much on it as far as reviews.

This is what I'm thinking too. It's still a good deal for $99 IMO, it just sucks to spend black friday money on full price stuff lol.jsp1979 wrote:In an overview video, NI describe Acoustic Strummer 2 as really "Part 2" . Just wanted to say thanks for all the help with Eventide Anthology X upgrade
I had hoped for JRR to step in an clear things up, but with the help and links I got here it became clear that JRR's info on Qualifying plugs for the upgrade was not even correct and up to date, in the end it was clear that I was actually qualified with 3 plugs and not only two, becourse JRR's list was not updated
with H910 that I also owns. So I gave up on JRR and ordered directly on Eventides page, 30 dollars more, but no BS, no need waiting for support, correct info immidiately, and all plugs was on my iLOK a few seconds later,..

I only have 2 according to Eventide. The thing is, if I get the time shifter thing for $24 over on PluginDiscounts, then go to Sweetwater, I can get it for $199 and they will give me interest free for 36 months. Not a bad deal.
It is just, do I really need this stuff? I have so many plugins I never use. What I really need is a plugin that will take my melody/chords and lyrics and turn it into a great arrangement. Because my Kitchen Sink method doesn't work so well....

I feel you. That's why I'm not jumping on it this year. A sale will come round again. All I really want is Ultraverb and H3000 Factory, I could take or leave the rest really. It's actually cheaper to buy two cheap plugins and upgrade to anthology than it is to buy those two separately though. What I'm thinking might happen, however, is that they'll update anthology with some of the other plugs and then I'll grab it next time. It's not like I don't have other plugins that I haven't explored in depth. I may change my mind come Friday, we'll see.dzilizzi wrote:I only have 2 according to Eventide. Well, I did get the Blackhole, which isn't in the bundle. And I would like the TVerb, because it sounds really cool, though I have no idea what I would do with it. But it isn't in the bundle either. I have a week to think on it. Guess it depends on what else looks better....ghettosynth wrote:I feel you. That's why I'm not jumping on it this year. A sale will come round again. I was only going for the two H3000 things, but with 3 qualifying plugs the bundle was a no-brainer,..
I would say H949 and Octavox could likely be something I will use at some point also
