As is usually the case my comments are misunderstood!

Aspiring to improve MuLab is not greed. Aspiring to improve MuLab for profit is not greed. But aspiring to improve MuLab for profit above all else IS greed. That is what should be avoided. But it's a slippery slope and one that needs constant awareness so as not to fall into that trap. Once there, more often than not is when your product begins to suffer. Look at Korg... Look at all big companies. They don't give people what they want, they make assumptions. Look at MS... don't you think it's about time they introduced tabbed explorer, made file associations easier to handle in bulk, organised settings to be easier to find, made networking easier to configure, etc, etc. Why haven't they? Because they're greedy corporate giants, that care nothing more than money. Giving the customers what they want, is only taken into consideration because, without that consideration, no one would take a blind bit of notice! Because they don't care about putting time effort and money into minor details that a smaller percentage require. That's the corporate way. That's the business way. Selfish aggrandisement. Greed.

Thanks Zexila for sharing your interesting thoughts. I'm regularly thinking about the concept too and i agree there is a potential pitfall by combining that easy on the eye UI with the modular depth, which may be less easy/obvious for many users, i underestimated that when designing this concept. I'm aware of that pitfall and i'm thinking in the background on solutions for that.

Think more on the point genre related MuClips, templates, sound patches and MuX creations can really make big difference without even implementing a single line of code/feature.

What would make trap guy happy for example? If he had hands on 808 sub bass instrument, on the point 808 drum kit device to do all those closed hat/snare fills and whatnot, ready to go hands on template, patches to get "that" sound, to see your "5 minutes trap beat in MuLab" video tutorial and score.

Give people hands on experience with MuLab, show them how easy it is to make music with MuLab, how handy it is to make music with it, that's your selling point here, easy, handy and affordable.

Let's change reality a little, instead of kids talking "Bro, you need to torrent FL to make phat beatz" to "Bro, MuLab got your covered, it's instant as ****,dope ****."

Look at this for example or those Studiolinked guys&co, their whole thing is hands on thing, so the average Joe can make stuff he hears on the radio.

lets get some of that neuro funk goin on another template, myabe some house on another, and another for dubstep? nah, dubstep is dead. ok are we missing anything here? oh yeah, we need one for weirdos too. but which style do weirdos like? classic rock? or how about speed metal? oh i forgot mariachi music. can we have a template for that?
