Hmmm, doesn't seem to work. I had Echoboy & Sie-Q. Just got Tremolator, and my upgrade price is still $169.soundbylaura wrote:Make sure you pick up the FREE Tremolator and THEN check your upgrade price. Mine went from $170 to $160 after doing that.syclick wrote:So with SoundToys 50% across the board, my upgrade from EchoBoy to SoundToys 5.1 is only $169. Mighty tempting.

9 bones for the PA amp sim is bit too good to pass up:

You can stash the thing for later, depending.

Either way.. it's pretty neat. Nice for pumping/gating effects.
technically the other freebies were in the suite too correct? They were the lite version but those are included.
This is the first full plugin from the 'original' suite they've offered to us... not some watered down variant. It is extra nice on their part imo.
oh yeah I see what you mean. I was happy.

I would snap that right up at $169. As it stands I never bought any Soundtoys before but got I the free sie-q a few weeks ago and I was surprised my upgrade price was only $219. Which is better than $249. I do wish it was a little less though
Did you buy echoboy or was it a freebie?

Thanks for the notification about the Crucial MX300 deal, Rational!
I've been hoping this would roll around -- may have been triggered by NewEgg offering it via Ebay today at this price. People on SlickDeals were hoping that it would cause Amazon to price-match, because the Ebay deal was going to be a bitch to grab before they ran out of them.
This is a killer deal, in case anyone else is ready to dump their old hard drives. Newest SSD tech, fast and reliable. And (finally!) large enough to replace a spindle drive at a reasonable price.
I grabbed one a minute after I spotted your post. Props!

If you want a more reliable drive amazon has the 1 TB EVO for $250 https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-Inch ... dafe320INT

Can you describe it a bit more for a reluctant part time guitar player who gets by with Guitar Rig and hardware?incubus wrote:9 bones for the PA amp sim is bit too good to pass up:

Yeah, there are some violent technical arguments across the net about the pros and cons of the MX300 vs. the EVO Pros, considering the different 3D NAND tech in them. Power consumption, reliability, all that fun stuff. I don't have a dog in that hunt, as we say down here.ATS wrote:If you want a more reliable drive amazon has the 1 TB EVO for $250 https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-Inch ... dafe320INT
I was IT support for a university for sixteen years, and bought a LOT of Samsung drives and Crucial/Micron RAM, and had great luck with them. SSDs are kinda both, so
That said the EVOs are proven excellent drives, and it's not a bad idea to let new tech shake out the bugs for a year or so before buying in. But this is a hell of a price differential...

same boat for me - the direct upgrade only saves $3 over the $222 with no upgrade from plugindiscounts.com.systmu wrote:I would snap that right up at $169. I wonder what the upgrade cost is if you buy one of the "little" plugins for $29 (before reseller discount) first.

What a steal. Even with shipping that's about half the price they are in NZ (and it's currently on a catalog special at the cheapest place I could find!), for the exact same model. Snagged!Rational wrote:If you need more storage to hold all these VST libraries you're buying, Amazon has the Crucial MX300 750GB SSD on sale today for $99.
Regularly $169. And cheaper than the 525GB at $119.
Next 24 hours only. It's their Deal of the day.

No problem guys. Glad to help. I was actually waiting for the price to come down on the 1TB MX 300 but I doubt it'll come down by as large a margin as this. I need a second SSD in my mac mini to load K11U and all the other stuff I'm about to buy this week. lol. Already filled one 1TB SSD.
But I will say I bought two of the 1TB SanDisk Ultra SSDs about 5 months ago. They were the first drives to utilze the cheaper type MLC memory. I haven't had a single issue with either. Using one in this 4k laptop I'm typing on. And the other in my Mac mini.
And I trust Crucial even more than I trust SanDisk for reliability. I'm guessing the MX300 will be more than fine.
Edit: Just checked. I actually ordered and installed these SanDisk 1TB MLC SSDs back in Jan and Feb. So 10 and 11 months so far respectively. I was worried at first too, but so far been rock solid.

....yes, I know ... free and all ... but still:
seriously WAVES - the SuperTap Delay ?????????
Is there anyone out there who owns WAVES plugins and hasn't got it allready
(included in Gold, Musicians 1, Musicians 2, Powerpack, .... ) ???
Is this supposed to be a marketing giveaway or a way to thumb your customers noses ?

it's a great delay and there are plenty who don't have it or any other Waves plug.

Hey, was browsing JRRshop's deals and stumble upon this iZotope Bundle crossgrade: https://www.jrrshop.com/izotope-music-p ... e-standard. I supposedly have an eligible plugin (Trash 2), but in my account at iZotope, when I click "Upgrade Coupons", it says "If you're eligible for an upgrade, select Buy Now from the list of coupons below to get special pricing on the new version of your product. Please note: If you are not eligible for any upgrades at this time, you will not see any coupons.". And there are any coupons there in my account. Also, in iZotope's shop, there's any option for me to buy a crossgrade like that one listed on JRRshop.
Does anyone knows how is the process to register this crossgrade once it is purchased? Will it check online with my iZotope account to verify my registered serials to see if I can upgrade, will it just ask to input my eligible plugin serial, etc...
I'm afraid that it will not register since on my account it says I'm not eligible for any kind of upgrade. :/
