Contrary to the kvr myths, the powers that be at NI do listen. Just let them know how much you'd like to upgrade. Try Keir in their forums. They do think about how to piss of existing customers the least with discounts, so new products are usually excluded for a while.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:I have to say that I am also disappointed about this, and am somewhat confused about how they arrived at the decision.anxiousmofo wrote:No Reaktor And Replika upgrades on sale? A quick plug:
Please take advantage of the AAS deals going on right now - just spoke with Marc:
Super guy! I'm inspired!
- Did you know that AAS has been around since 1998, and is run by a couple of Phd's including Marc?

I do understand that they'd want to avoid discounting products so close to release, but it has been over fourteen months since R6 release, and offering new customers buy-in at the same price as upgrades would seem to counter that idea anyway
As for pleading my case over at NI? It seems such a deliberate decision not to give any discount on upgrades, that I doubt it would make a difference. It's not like it was just an oversight.
I wonder if there is a way of buying a whole new license. At least that way, I could sell R5 to someone who wanted a good upgrade path once the sales had stopped

I knew because by chance I just read the Chromaphone review in SOS earlier todaygoldenanalog wrote:- Did you know that AAS has been around since 1998, and is run by a couple of Phd's including Marc?

AAS was founded in 1998 by Marc-Pierre Verge and Philippe Dérogis. As well as holding doctorate degrees in acoustics, both are musicians: Verge plays flute in classical ensembles, while Dérogis is a jazz pianist and trumpet player. This combination of art and science resulted in the creation of modelled instruments such as the Lounge Lizard electric piano, Strum Acoustic and Strum Electric guitars and the Tassman 4 modular soft synth.
When it comes to Tassman: v1 was released in 2000, and then v2, v3, and finally v4 in 2004. And then nothing....?

Yes that would have been awesome. I would even take 40%. What ashamed that they don't take care of existing customers better.TheKid wrote:I was hoping for 50% off of symphony series crossgrades.

I own four u-he plugs, so I got a code for 30% off one of their plugs. But too bad I can't use it on the u-he product I want the most at the mo', which is Repro-1

I own everything except presswerk and Uhbik and the code is worth 40% off. I don't really want anything else. Can we sell it? Lol.Numanoid wrote:Good pointGribs wrote:This sale is worth visiting even if you own Diva, since there is also a link to request a coupon code for those who own a Diva license already and/or own other U-He plugins. I'd like M-Tron Pro or Oddity 2.
I think they had a sale (very short lived) for the original impOSCar when impOSCar 2 was to be released.

Can't answer that, but I can say that it's fantastic. Especially check out the stereo split mode - allows two different algos to be used on one signal...Robert Randolph wrote:Yeah, whats up with this?ontol wrote:that's 37% off...50% would be 189.50PLUGINDISCOUNTS.COM wrote:Relax LX480 Complete is 50% OFF for Black Friday @ Plugin Discounts - $239 (normally $379)
