I vote for that
I'm not saying that. I think that it is a good idea to get interesting new tools, but be smart about it. I really don't know why people go on about Waves gold, yes it's cheap, but it's a lot of basic cruft that really isn't much better, and in some cases it's much worse, than what's in Live.

The live tools are pretty good and you have Omnisphere which offers a lot as well. I would look for tools that compliment what you already have in a way that you can leverage it where you are right now.

Posted in another thread but this is probably a better place for it. With all the sales i just can't keep track; i'd be all weekend demoing everything so can anyone point out any surgical eqs in the sales a la Pro Q worth checking out? Much obliged!

Anyone know about Pettinhouse guitars? I was thinking about getting the Virtual Guitarist bundle, but then saw this. The YouTube videos look good. :o

I'd say there was so much stuff available at good prices that were not on my list, but really a lot were on the "It looks interesting and maybe someday if they become more affordable I will get them my music will sound perfect" list. :D Of course, after I get them home, I find I can't play as well as the YouTube video guys. Sigh.

Also have a look at ImpactSoundworks Shakuhachi. Brilliant.

Well, the reverb I might have advised you upgrade to never goes on sale anyway, because it is always low-priced :tu:

New issue of computer music is out - oddly the free plugin is Panagement CM by Auburn Sounds rather than the Acustica Pink CM that they promised last issue. Seems they're doing the Pink CM next issue now.

What's the verdict on Avenger?

Post

10/10 on avenger - 9/10 on the legend. I expect the reviews will be up on musicradar.com sometime soon.

I have not followed the Avenger discussion much.

Both Plugin Botique and JRRShop have the Air Music Tech AIR Instrument Expansion Pack 3 Complete Upgrade at a really low price. I have an Xpand!2 serial from beat magazine.

Is there anything in the Air instruments Expansion that is really excelent?

I'd rather say Avenger is the Sylenth1 + Massive + Nexus killer. :P Rather looks like a all-in-one solution with a good factory preset bank, and loads of addon sound packs to come. The approach is surely great, and, if i had to do a verdict, i'd say it will become the most used synth in EDM production. Of course, it'll be good for other musical genres too, but it'll surely be tailored, sound wise, for use in dance music genres.
