So yeah, we never thought it would be a necessity, but indeed, we'll do uninstallers next year. They still won't wipe the hidden files you couldn't find before - because not even the uninstaller can find them. How would they, relly, if even you can't? Maybe we'll build an option in... "re-install whole system". Does it automatically then.

That's great. Frankly, it always was a bit off-putting to have to remove the files manually. Better to do an uninstaller than to make the users go to your site, read the FAQ's, and then manually remove the stuff.Urs wrote: So yeah, we never thought it would be a necessity, but indeed, we'll do uninstallers next year.

Luckily, I never felt inclined to uninstall my u-he gear, but if I did I would use "easy find" and try to rip it out the hard way, and then I would constantly haunted in my dreams about what nasty little orphans are hiding in dark corners of my hard drive with obscure file names like "tunefiles". You certainly are not the worst offender though. Some of these software command centers will never be found.Urs wrote:I guess if you can't find any files anymore, they must be hidden somewhere else. Clearly there's some rootkit evil going on. But that's fine. I want U-he installed at the BIOS level. Actually, I heard U-he ReBIO-1 is going to be a 486 SX (DX with math co-processor to be added later) motherboard BIOS emulation. I'm looking forward to the "turbo" button side of the emulation, as I never run w/o turbo enabled...
