Analyzer Peak Label decay time...

I can't figure this out... often I use Manalyzer to see peaks in my audio at different places. For example, for de-essing. However, most often the label that identifies the frequency does not stay up long enough for me to see it. How can I set the analyzer to have good resolution from 3-9K but for the labels to stay on screen 2-3 seconds so I can read them?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Try using averaging or decay, both available in the analyzer settings. Note that it can NOT show peaks after they are not there anymore, since that way you'd have infinite number of peaks in no time

... click the Pause button (may need to try a few times to be quick enough)

I've played with those controls, but I'll keep trying. Thanks.
A nice feature for MDynamicEQ (or Auto) would be the option to click on a label and add that peak to one of the EQ bands. Great time saver.

Let's say you have the analyzer turned on, and you see a peak at 2.2k that needs tamed, and the label that shows the peak is still showing, it would be nice if you could click on the label and transfer the peak to a setting in the eq so you could immediately adjust it down.MeldaProduction wrote:I don't follow, what do you mean?Saddle wrote:A nice feature for MDynamicEQ (or Auto) would be the option to click on a label and add that peak to one of the EQ bands. I realize that if you click on the screen, it will move the closest eq band (number) to where your mouse is, but that may not be anywhere close to the frequency that the label peak shows. You still have to slide it around to get it right on the reported peak.

I've enabled Average (infinite) graph, and track peaks only in that one. This way the most prominent freqs are visible longer/all the time.

Aaaaha, well, sorry, but that's pretty unlikely to happen. Also the analyzer may not be as accurate as you may think, and the eq bands are neighther for that matter, and finally the physical instruments you are trying to fix are not at all constant as well, so it wouldn't help really.Saddle wrote:Let's say you have the analyzer turned on, and you see a peak at 2.2k that needs tamed, and the label that shows the peak is still showing, it would be nice if you could click on the label and transfer the peak to a setting in the eq so you could immediately adjust it down.MeldaProduction wrote:I don't follow, what do you mean?Saddle wrote:A nice feature for MDynamicEQ (or Auto) would be the option to click on a label and add that peak to one of the EQ bands. Good idea - let me extend it: use the A...H buttons and use different Settings / Graphs on each one. Then you can switch between them quickly. Oh and save it all as a Preset, for future use..jon wrote:I've enabled Average (infinite) graph, and track peaks only in that one. This way the most prominent freqs are visible longer/all the time.

Maybe the analyzer needs to be fixed then?MeldaProduction wrote:Saddle wrote:MeldaProduction wrote:I don't follow, what do you mean?Saddle wrote:A nice feature for MDynamicEQ (or Auto) would be the option to click on a label and add that peak to one of the EQ bands. Great time saver.

But, if the peak listed was what _I_ wanted... it would make it fast and convenient.

Hehe nice try
. But sorry, I don't see any problem. There are just physical limitations, that's just how it works... It's like you'd ask, make a plugin to make my voice awesome!
I'd like that, but it probably won't happen
