Hi!

I have been playing around with the edit modes and so far have only been able to drag/drop buttons and knobs into the front panel (by dragging the labels and/or the generic editor label) into the front panel.

There was a MUX drum machine that was posted here that had a trunkated sequencer grid.

I have not been able at this point to replicate this.

Can anyone please help?

I would also like to add that as per my previous posts, there seems to be contradicting information on how to actually achieve front panel elements:

Thanks!!

Did you watch the tutorial video about making front panels?

Post

Yes (it was an old tutorial) and believe it didn't work for me as such on M7. In any case, I cannot drag/drop any sequencer grids at this point unless I am missing a small detail..Thanks!

Basically, it's always:

1) In modular mode, find the component you want on the front panel (you don't need it open - only the component module needs to be easily visible)
2) In front panel edit mode, right-click and select the type of component you're after
3) Click on the target component in modular mode

So here is a picture depiction of my attempts. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions welcome...

It looks like you're doing exactly what I did, so long as you're clicking onto the Step Sequencer, not right-clicking or dragging or anything: just a simple left-click. If so, I'm out of suggestions.

What pljones wrote is correct. Can't add much more. That video tutorial still is up to date. (maybe besides some little graphical differences between M6 and M7, but that's irrelevant to the topic)

In this case you can also drag and drop the step sequencer on the front panel.

You're welcome :)
another tip, when the step sequencer is on the front panel you can right click on it and choose "edit properties" for additional options.
My English is not very good, I did a little video maybe can be useful.

Thanks so much for the great tips :-)

In my case the conclusion is that the step sequencer cannot be added in edit mode via the add component menu. I get an error message. The working solution is dragging/dropping the actual step sequencer and then resize/properties etc.

Thanks all for your help!

By the way, are you using MuLab or MuX in a different host? I'm just wondering if that's making a difference to the mouse action.
