Selecting/editing multiple bands in MEqualizer/MAutoDynamicEQ?

Hi
Is it possible to select more than one band at the same time in MEqualizer or MAutoDynamicEq?
In FabFilter ProQ2 and Alloy/Ozone, for example, you can select multiple bands just by dragging them with the mouse, so you can edit all those bands at the same time. A very useful feature which seems to be missing from Melda's EQs.

Hi, thank you for the feedback, but I'm afraid it has already been denied. After all if you use too many bands, you are probably overdoing it
. You can always use multiparameters if you need something like that.

Why? I don't get it. Is it too complicated to implement it, or you just don't see the utility of a simple feature like this one? I find it really weird that a developer who manages to make such powerful plugins, packed with hundreds of deep features (a lot of them rather "exotic" to be honest), denies a very handy and simple feature and instead gives me a pretty lame production advice "if you use too many bands, you are probably overdoing it".MeldaProduction wrote:I'm afraid it has already been denied.

I'd also like to see this feature.
Take as an example you have 4 bands and want to adjust the q-factor of all 4 bands simultaneously (for listening purposes, to find the right spot or to roughly adjust them). Or you'd like to adjust the dynamics range. Or you'd like to set the q-factor first, then run through frequencies to find the right one and afterwards setting down the q again for all bands.
Nothing life essential, but, as pointed out by KTlin, a handy feature sometimes.

...perhaps not doing it in the "graphs" area but rather in the lower, drop-down individual settings panel.../s~
ps...I often think the use of the word "denied" was not intended, but rather somethng more like "declined"...in common american english usage "denied" is quite harsh, whereas "declined" shows some consideration...english may function as the de facto internal national language, but that does not mean we have all learned it from the same source

Well, folks, it's simple - I just cannot pack every feature of every possible plugin out there (plus our unique ones) into our software. With the superhuge portfolio we have there now (I dare to say one of the biggest) I simply need to schedule what will be done and what not. Our customers are now apparently spoiled by the previous policy where pretty much everything has been implemented

I would also like this feature for referencing certain frenquencies using a high pass and a low pass filter linked together.
I have found a work around though, I use MXXX's Multiband Split in 3 regions and solo the middle one wich I move around to reference to another mix. But it would be nice to do it with the EQs.

If you don't want to explain it, you don't have to, but if you bothered to answer my question, then a simple "I don't believe in this feature so it has lower priority" would have been better than the "if you use too many bands, you are probably overdoing it" advice. I started this thread to find out about a feature in your plugins, not to get schooled on EQ techniques.MeldaProduction wrote:Why am I even explaining decline of every feature?

You can use any multiband plugin for that actually. But anyways seems to me that "auto-listen" would be better - just enable it and click anywhere in the EQ and see what it does.

Very well, I'll keep that in mind, sounds good to me.KTlin wrote:If you don't want to explain it, you don't have to, but if you bothered to answer my question, then a simple "I don't believe in this feature so it has lower priority" would have been better than the "if you use too many bands, you are probably overdoing it" advice. Very interesting. It tells me a lot about the philosophy of Melda. I always thought the customers determine the product features and not the producer. Unbelievable!MeldaProduction wrote: But the thing is, I just have to choose, what will be done. And certainly stuff I don't believe in has lower priority. And I honestly don't believe in this feature. It could be useful, but I personally never needed it. So that's about it. Why am I even explaining decline of every feature?... You made me honestly sad...
Vojtech, perhaps you should see the request of KTlin as kind of suggestion to improve your Plugins instead of being sad. That´s absolute childish and unprofessional.
For me sometimes it´s very useful to editing multiple bands. Even the well-known engineer Michael White does it in his online tutorials. How can you say it´s not important? Vojtech, not you have to choose which feature is important or not but the coustomers have or you will vanish from the market one day.
OK, It´s your decision but I would never buy anthing from a producer with that attitude.
Tbh, It is also the ugly GUIs, the overcharged (not to say needless) features and the unfair license transfer fee that keep me away from MELDA.
Think about it!
