Well, concerning stabilty i have no issues here with the current version in Wondows 10 64-bit and live 9.7 64-bit or Cubase Pro 8.5.20 64-bit.

Also have no problem installing and using the factory content here yet.

I have a long time experience in beta testing and with all due respect a lot of so called bugs are also due to user errors or not doing things like intended. Besides that in a closed beta it is not possible to test all possible computer + host configurations/setups so a fully bug free first version is close to being impossible IMO.
Personally i could not test on a Mac/OSX so i could not find and/or report any OSX specific bugs. While i got several hosts for testing purposes (around 6 at the moment) i could also not test on all those available, especially the more "exotic" ones.

The thing about possible missing features or features not working like people expected they would work is another story and such discussions are found with almost any synth released recently (for example also analog emulations like The Legend or Repro-1) where people could not accept that the developer did choose to include a certain set of features and not more (or implemented in a different way than some users would like to have it).

If you try to judge about Avenger based on what it really is and not what certain people expected it to be it could maybe not do everything (IMO no synth could do that) but it is still very powerful and versatile and sounds great for sure (at least IMO). For sure Avanger does complements very well with tsome of the other synths i used a lot recently and it has certain features not available in other synth in the same way (e.g. the FFT filter).

FWIW concerning custom wavetables i am i the lucky position to own a bunch of wavetable synths including Icarus that i could use for that task and the wavetables created there could be imported into Avanger quite nicely and without bigger problems (if you are used to the process that is involved for this).

Just did our best.
Should do some, bring out your expertise.

This thread covers so many aspects that make KVR a "kind of its own". :hihi:

Looks like several are having issues with using Reaper and FL Studio as DAW hosts. Strange though. Is Reaper known for having compability issues with the VST format?

The Reaperists will probably tell you that it is the most stable host in terms of that, and that it beats everything out there. Even when they never used "everything that is out there".

From what i can tell, and my own experience with it, it doesn't have many problems with VST's though, at least not more than any other host i ever tried. Which, in my case, means, that about everything i threw at it worked fine.

We tested the software. I found 3 bugs during the entire time. I don't know what the problem is that people are having unless something got majorly F'd up in the latest build, which I have yet to install because of all the horror stories I'm hearing. 1.0.20 has been flawless for me. So I'm going to wait to see if something really did go terribly wrong or a lot of this is just OS related.

All I know is I'm 125 patches into this thing already and having no problems at all. When my library is finished I'll install 1.0.21 and see what all the fuss is about.
I now gave 5 hours continuous on Avenger in S1 (Win 10 64 bit) and haven't been able to get it to crash (and I have tried  ). I did get it to crash in BitWig adding another oscillator to make a multilayer...

There are so many combinations of DAW, OS, Soundcard etc that beta testers can never catch everything and for almost all software there will be a point releases after the general public get hold of it (and beta testers go from maybe 100 to 10 000!), as long as it comes, no problem. Some dev's (like U-HE) do fully open betas (sometimes for years!) and you will still find a few bugs getting through when the release comes!

Some bug reports will also be 'new user' error (what manual!), download error and dodgy computer errors...so it looks like a lot of complaints and its a half a dozen vocal users (often posting over and over again) out of 1000's of satisfied users....

Like I said, I have been on this all day now in my studio, it is immense, and I just keep discovering more and more that I like. What's the opposite of buyers remorse!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I find Reaper to be very stable in general, but i find the same with my FL Studio, Ableton, ReNoise and Sonar installments. So yeah...hehehe. We live in an era where stable daw's are a fact :) (some exceptions will occur ofcourse :clown: )

oops.
Lack of language knowledge, if irony there was...

Regarding language... would it be possible to have a Vengeance subforum here @ kvr? I know there is a Vengeance forum, but mein Deutsch is pretty lousy... :D

Don't get me wrong, i also found it rock stable when i used it... and also, all of my VST's worked fine. :) There were other issues i had with it really though.

I guess it'd be easy for the devs, or testers to work that out, Reaper is available as a 60-days no limitation test version, and isn't too expensive either. I'm sure it has been tested already too, so i'd rather think it is installation/hardware dependant, or something.

Several things...

Wagtunes, I think you will find .21 to be just fine. I have had no issues with it and messed with it all yesterday. I understand you want to finish your sounds first, so do what you think best.

On the GUI "font is unreadable". See that fellow I just commented to (wagtunes)? If the GUI was bad or unreadable he would be the FIRST to complain about it. Yet he has not. I do not know what was trying to be shown in the picture with Bazille, but both were highly viewable. On my system it works fantastic. I tried it in 4k and have had no issues. While the GUI is large, there is a lot going on there and I see/saw no other way to present it and make the visuals still pleasingly aesthetic.

The only complaint here that I have read that I just can't figure out is the "missing content". Maybe I missed the post, but are there specific patches where this happens?

I don't find the UI unreadable either. i use it at 93% (1080P screen) and also at 90 and 80 % it is readable (over here)
