will you guys eventually be updating your older Fender amp models (and hopefully everything else) with this "completely new technology"?

i guess i'd ask the same about fx, are these ever updated as time goes on or are there any plans to do so? i was looking at that T-Racks (Echoplex) 'Tape Echo' and wondering if or how often Amplitube fx get updated or expanded upon. as modeling technology improves, do the older pedal emulations get updated or left in the dust?

i guess it's hard to do so (for both amps and fx), it would cost you money for development time improving products that you've already sold. though i guess you could charge for "v2" upgrades to existing owners and generate new business from those who haven't bought in yet.

EDIT: looked at the site just now - is the Amplitube 'EP Tape Echo' stomp pretty much the same, but in "pedal" form? same quality? i'm wondering why this wasn't also (or instead, i guess) made as an Amplitube "rack" effect.

I imagine that this is something that would be done for the next release of Amplitube. If and when e.g. an Amplitube 5 comes out, having updated models to incorporate the new technology would certainly justify a reasonable upgrade fee for previous users.

As it is, I have still so much more to explore with Amplitube 4 and am very happy with my purchase so far. The models are done very nicely and "play" well with all of my sound sources, including guitars and synths (both real and virtual). So, imo, well done!

Let me add that I definitely want to see an update with improved modeling for both the original Fender collection, but even more so, Ampeg.

another fender collection not that it sounds bad, but i use more Marshalls than Fenders, yet we don't have any authorized Marshall collections, yet with Fenders we now have two?!

(yes, Peter, thanks for Amplitube 4, those Marshalls rock, but i want MOAR!!!)

also, it is endlessly frustrating that older models do not get the new modeling treatment. i mean, yes, older models got updated when Amplitube 3 came about, and yes, all older models got new cabinets when Amplitube 4 got released, but come on! either drop the old legacy stuff, or update them with the new stuff. it looks bad when there are such awesome Marshalls in Amplitube 4, yet the moment you venture out to custom shop you see the legacy Marshalls which sound like a bad fuzz pedal by comparison...

My 2 cents —

I'm much more into Fender than Marshall amps.

So:
-am very psyched about this new Fender Collection 2.

-Would love to see all vestigial legacy Fender amps updated to the new technology used in the new Fender Collection 2 (including those from included in Amplitube, and the first Fender collection).
