"There must be some kind of way out of here,"
Said the joker to the thief
"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen - they drink my wine
Plowmen dig my earth
None will level on the line
Nobody of it is worth."
"No reason to get excited,"
The thief he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us
Who feel that life is but a joke
But you and I we've been through that
And this is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now
The hour's getting late."
All along the watchtower
Princes kept the view
While all the women came and went
Barefoot servants too
Outside in the cold distance
A wildcat did growl
Two riders were approaching
And the wind began to howl

The man, he just carries on painting on his easel. No effect on me one way or the other.

NYT
"Mr. Dylan’s ambivalence to one of the world’s most prestigious honors, and the uncertainty about whether he will accept it, appears to have begun to wear on the Swedish Academy, which awards the prize. On Saturday, an academy member called Mr. Dylan “impolite and arrogant.”"

Does this mean that lyrics are more powerful than music as well as paintings? Hey his paintings are not that bad, what do the "experts" say? He should have gone incognito, used a name like Agloolik Quinn or something mighty like that.

Yeah, I guess he already had plotted into his calendar that December 10th is the day to get his washing done, or change strings on his guitar. The Swedish Academy, which awards the Nobel prizes, said it had received "a personal letter" saying he was unable to attend next month's Nobel ceremony "due to pre-existing commitments".
Such commitments are important to keep of course

Oh dear. A pretentious organization is stood-up by a self-important musician. Whatever shall we do?

It's a nice day for a melody.
