Hi,
Having fun playing with the MU.Labs software, but I can't see how to connect up my QuNexus controller. I have ASIO4ALL installed, went into Audio setup and selected the ASIO driver type and ASIO4ALL v2 as the driver, then went into MIDI set up and selected QuNexus as Input Port 1 and Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth as Output Port 1 but I don't know how to proceed from here. I did try Map MIDI Controller on the Basic Synth rack but I couldn't get any further.
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, any help appreciated !
David
How to connect QuNexus midi controller ?

Maybe better to not use the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth as MIDI output. If you don't have a real MIDI out, leave it blank.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I set it to blank but still nothing. I did read the page you linked but I couldn't really work out what it was saying. I think I'm missing something really obvious but all I want to do to start is be able to press a key on my MIDI controller and hear a note. I think once I've got to that stage I'll have realised how it all hangs together and then that information will all make sense to me !
Apologies for such a beginner question !
Cheers,
David

Ah so with using your MIDI controller you mean using your MIDI keyboard, right? I thought you meant MIDI controllers ie MIDI knobs and sliders etc. Make sure you have selected the proper MIDI input port in MuLab -> MIDI Setup. You can check whether notes are coming into MuLab via MuLab menu -> Help -> Monitor MIDI Input Notes, that's a little diagnostic tool to see if MIDI is properly coming into MuLab. If not you'll have to check the MIDI setup, also outside MuLab.

Yes, sorry, I thought it was a controller, still getting used to the terminology
The good news is that I thought I'd reboot the laptop to start from fresh, and once I'd done that everything worked perfectly. I think there was some problem with the USB device driver for the keyboard.
Thanks for your help !
