I lately thought about that: At least me, am still missing THE sampler VSTi. Something that is not old baked like Kontakt or MachFive, has a complete feature set and also some avangarde stuff like fft and synthesis (extracting OSCs out of samples).
If one could do this, then it's Melda Production.
A sampler with features like MPS, or maybe MPS as sampler. With fancy, comfortable sample import/mapping functions, auto-multi-feature-crossfade stuff, finding 0-passes, round rubin, fast disk streaming, randomization/naturalization of envs, parallel and serial filter routings. And a nice inside sample editor without limitations. Drag nn drop and a disk browser inside. Auto capture another VSTi.
Multiple sampled phases, so the crossfading is not pre-calced, but on the fly. So you could for example use another sample as release tail (which will be crossfaded or morphed)... Or set the crossfade length manually. And so on.
This all in the usual perfectly rational melda gui. No lags, no limitations.
Maybe even kontakt import... Like Studio One sampler.
What do you think about this idea?
