thank you kind Sir!
bingo! thats the one!
I just sent the background .png to your email address in the readme. All I did was recolor it and saved it using Paint Shop Pro. Something I've done with success with many other plugin GUIs. Thanks for looking into the issue. Not sure what I could have done wrong.Leslie Sanford wrote: Can you email me the image (check README file for email address)? I'll try it out here and see if I can figure out what's going on.
Its not you, i ran into exactly the same issue when i swapped images for the first time too. Of course i checked into it, and the upshot was that the plugin seems to have problems with the way how images are being saved. To elaborate: My PS images too were all stretched and whatnot, even though the sizes were definitely correct. And at first i thought the images can simply not be replaced. But then i remembered a similar issue with another plugin im currently making a new skin for, (well, its practically finished), where the UI would lag like hell unless i re-saved the PS images with GIMP. (Even the background, in fact especially the background even though its just a static image.) Beats me what difference it makes, but sure enough once the images were re-saved with GIMP (uncompressed PNG) the lag was gone. And the same with Cobalt. As soon as i used images re-saved with GIMP the images were displayed correctly. No more stretching, all picture perfect. Like i said, i havent the slightest as to what it is that makes the difference since saving the PS images with or without compression and with or without interlacing didnt make any difference whatsoever, but anyway, thats exactly what happened here too, so its not your editing skills.Teksonik wrote:Well shoot I'm doing something wrong. I just wanted to re-color the background which is about all I know how to do but have done it successfully on quite a few other plugins however when I save the .png it reloads and appears to be misaligned. Guess I better leave the skinning to the experts.....
Thanks, nice to know I'm not alone.....ENV1 wrote:Its not you, i ran into exactly the same issue when i swapped images for the first time too.Teksonik wrote:Well shoot I'm doing something wrong.
