I particularly miss Slix, not yet available ...

Obviously there is a need for more slicers on the 64 bit platforms, too bad nobody picked up on that in the KVR DC challenge. It would get my vote.
Slix looks remarkably similar to ConcreteFX MicroDicer

Slicex is actually a very good slicer with lots of features (no REX export, though). Quite underestimated imho.

There are also some takes on slicing/slicers in the userlib of Reaktor, too.

I always find SliceX to be unintuitive and clunky, I go back to it every now and then as it does stuff others don't but then I don't really use these kind of tools as I like to do edits by hand, I'm old skool and feel it's cheating :hihi:

Are there other slicers that can do this ?
Beat Creator didn't export to RX2, it used it's own format (.zgr I think) which was natively supported by Cubase back in the day. It may have exported to REX which was the v1 and mono only and not particularly useful compared to RX2. As far as I'm aware there is only Recycle which can export to RX2.

Beat Creator is an amazing tool, it's a shame development stopped. I haven't tried it on Windows 10 but it still ran fine on Windows 7 64-bit for me a couple of years ago.

To reiterate:
1) Beat Creator exports RX1 (mono). Which worked fine for my needs, with Stylus RMX.
2) ONLY Recycle creates RX2.
3) Beat Creator works here (also) on Win-7 64.

Yup and after some testing I've found the wave formula generator doesnt work on my system.

None of the compatablilty modes make a difference.

I get 'Error: An invalid parameter was passed to a system function.'

Trying to preview gives this message, playing back the rendered file gives this message, saving and reopening the file gives this message.

File plays back fine in other software.

All the beat slicing features and playback is working fine.
