The closest to Shortcircuit (2) is probably One Small Clue Grace. It's very nice, but not as quick and intuitive as SC2. I tried the Bitwig Demo and while it has some kind of sampler, most of the great features of SC2 haven't really been implemented into it yet. The Bitwig sampler is more similar to the basic Ableton sampler, than to SC2, as far as I can say from my memory.

I reinstalled to check, and it indeed seems to allow loading of WAV samples, coolere2learn wrote:It says it supports WAV, AIF and SND on the site

Grace loads wav of course. What else if not that format?
So cool..

So you still not 100% sure? Can you please investigate over the next week?Numanoid wrote:I reinstalled to check, and it indeed seems to allow loading of WAV samples, cool

Linux Sampler is another option, but interface/workflow didn't gel with meNumanoid wrote:So far I have yet to find a replacement![]()
TX16Wx is just not the same, and Kontakt is far too bloated

Have you found the wav import in Linux sampler yet? No?Numanoid wrote:Linux Sampler is another option, but interface/workflow didn't gel with me

I switched to tx16wx a few yrs ago and havent looked back. A lot MORE and more smartly implemented options than sc.
For example wave matrices.

Your top work on the drumdrops stuff bears this out. Just to veer wildly off the topic at hand for a second, will you be doing the vintage disco ones at any stage?Burzukh_Studios wrote:I switched to tx16wx a few yrs ago and havent looked back. Thanks for the compliment. Glad you like it!
Actually I have just finished the vintage sonor funk kit and sent for beta.
Next up is the vintage disco kit.... Gimme a week.
The DD guys have access to some great kits and equipment AND they edit / name their stuff pretty good so its a pleasure to work with.
