Thanks for the info

But it is less than 80MB, so not a biggie

Better to chill on the couch, instead of stressing to get it :D

Don't waste your time with this one. Unless this is your first day you have better samples. A few weak kicks, snares, and hats and that's it.

I appreciate their generosity but if I had to do it over again I wouldn't bother. They've already been sent to the trash bin.

They want the usual personal information so you can "checkout" but it did give me the opportunity to create another new account under the name Nunya Bidness...... :hihi:

It is not a biggie freebie, about 90+ one shots wav drum samples, like any freebie it is give or take how interesting it is.

I only needed to add first/surname and e-mail address to be able to check out and get the download link. I didn't bother with opening an account.

I have the first bundle. The Wave Alchemy pack came with Battery, Kontakt, Ableton Drum Rack, EXS, Halion, Reason NNXT, and SFZ patches. I don't know how the companies in this pack do things but it's common enough. However, I personally find no value in the company deciding which drum samples belong together in my music but I guess it's a nice bonus.

Edit: So I took a look at this pack and Samplefino's contribution comes with Geist, Kontakt, and Poise presets. Waveshapers comes with Kontakt presets.
Sure, I looked also. I suppose this also depends on how many drum samples you have. I don't get excited about $20 one shot libraries for the most part.

BTW: It has nothing to do with some weird sense of music freedom. Creating a kit is an artistic process as much as creating samples. A high quality kit can be fun to compose with just as interesting samples are. If you're so uptight about not using other people's kits because of some sense of artistic independence then it's beyond me why you'd bother using other people's samples. My sense is that it's just a poorly though through attempt at a rejoinder.

At any rate, seems pretty meh to me, I have terabytes of samples that I never use. Processed samples are overrated IMO.

You are complaining about $0.001 of disk space (based on a 3T drive). Just to put it in perspective.

I don't care bout the space I'm only stating that it's excessively large. Especially when something like serum is less than 6 megs. Just seemed odd.

I didn't bother. There are better delays that are free forever, look in DC16 for example. Having different delays is fine, I don't need more super simple things like that though.

ImpactSoundworks sale looks quite interesting.

I got a bunch of their products in the Black Friday sales. The Celestia is really nice, though I found using the presets (snapshot instruments) gave better sounds than just playing with it myself. And surprisingly I liked sonic forest more than sonic ocean. But they both have interesting presets that you then mess with. :)

I'm still working on getting everything downloaded and installed on my music computer. Too much work travel is interfering with my music. But it pays the bills. :?
