I also liked the free expansions for Kore Player that they gave away in 2009.

I can't remember it there also was a Kore Player expansion givenaway for x-mas in 2008? As I remember there was two volumes, the second in 2009.
Mine is Replika. It's my go-to delay. :D
+1

That was a really awesome freebie. :) And a great opportunity to upgrade to the XT version, i think i also got 50% off on that. My fav effect plugin.

E-voucher can't be used to buy upgrade to Replika XT for €25 :(

Kinetic sounds interesting. But the voucher will be useful for Stummed Acoustic 2 which was too new for last month's sale.

BTW, can anyone answer this for me? On the NI site, I was checking the "What's new in Komplete Ultimate 11" page, and it lists Reaktor 6. I have KU 10, and I could swear that I already have Reaktor 6. In fact, the Reaktor 6 icon is on my desktop. What am I missing here?

So many plugins, so little time...

K10 did not have Reaktor 6. You might've installed Reaktor 6 Player separately, or something?

After multi-stage authorization and installing 1 GB of Kontakt Player alone (WTF?) I could make some fun sounds. Probably will put them in a track someday just for the sake of it.

It doesn't make me any more a fan of NI, though :scared:

god damnit. the thing really won't work on 5.5?

is 5.6 kore-safe? I don't like the idea of touching anything in there

This Native Access will be the reason they'll loose me as customer (been a komplete owner since Komplete 2).... forcing people to have an internet access to install products is so aggressive it's on the brink of being retarded.

Goodbye and thank you for all the fish.

Thank you - but no....

I own Kontakt V2, V3 and V5 as well as Absynth V3, V4 and V5.

You offer me a gift, which I appreciate, but am in the middle of a months long 10th Anniversary project which is locked into Kontakt V5.5.2 and Absynth.

I cannot and will not upgrade what I am working with to make room for your gift. It would invalidate months of work.

I understand you want to push people to the "latest and greatest" version.....

All I would ask is that you have some sympathy for those of us who are locked into specific versions of things for our own reasons....

I really do appreciate your generosity with your gifts over the years. But this year I cannot partake.

Just a thought, and nothing more....

It's always churlish to speak ill of a free gift, and this is a perfectly lovely gift from NI in a fine and equally lovely tradition. Kontakt 5.6.5 is certainly not the road crash that 5.6.0 was, but issues still persist, especially in tandem with Native Access. I understand it is slightly more resource-heavy than 5.5.x and in the accidental upgrade I performed (it happens...) I found the text inflexibly LARGE, which is the opposite of what I was expecting. Furthermore, I could find not a single feature nor enhancement that had been added from a user's perspective - even moving the library tabs around above or below the screen still takes the exact same time it used to take - forever. All in all, I decided I'd hastily roll back before I made a project with 5.6.5 and get committed to it, and only upgrade when an essential library came along requiring me to do so. This gift - fine though it is - isn't that library.

Incidentally, I have a strong feeling that that Sonokinetic's Ostinato Strings was the gift this year that won't be beaten - extraordinary generosity, and hey it works all the way back to 5.1 I believe.

kinetiks threats was so useless i disinstalled it immediately! :-/

Wow. I really can't believe how some of you guys feel. Just unreal. I understand when things don't work as expected. And that really can be bad. But to take it out on a free gift?

Just don't download it. Period. Reject it...SILENTLY.

Nevermind. Pointless post I just made here. It will fall on blind eyes and lead to crazy fallout against me.

Nah, plenty of us here appreciate NI. I use their E-voucher every Christmas toward something I've been waiting to get. This year it will be Discovery Series' India for Kontakt. Kinetic Treats is pretty cool for those who may not have Kinetic Metal and it's a freebie so how can you complain. Native Access doesn't bother me, but it seems like some are have issues so I understand the discord. Nobody likes disruption when you're trying to get work done.
