questions about Tracktions' Data saving paths

So, I am wondering about where Tracktion saves its data for each project. I see the locations listed in the "general behavior" tab, and I am wondering if you folks leave that at its default, or if you use a custom location. Also, do you clear the data out of there are you no longer need it? Files from older recordings will build up, correct? How do you clean out this folder every so often?
Also, I see Tracktion has a few folders and files in that folder. If I start with a new location, will Tracktion automatically create these folders if they are deleted?
The point is, I'd like to make sure that I manage all my files in the best way, and keep them from piling up and I don't know how to begin, I am pretty new to Tracktion.

for your projects, you can choose whatever location you like best. tracktion will create the folders it needs in the respective projectfolders.
in parallel to the projectfolder, tracktion has a special resources folder for storing intermediate data for freeze files, editclips, ...
it is good to know that these are seperate from the projectfolder.
personal note:
i don't find that useful, i would like to have all projectrelated data in my projectfolders for easy backup.
also tracktion sometimes disregards those internal "temp"-files and then does freeze and editclip renders again.

Thank you. I think I will just leave the resource file alone then.
So, in order to use two different computers and work on a given project on both machines, all I need to do is copy the project folder back and forth?
What about presets and so on- I have a sampler preset that I would like to put on both computers, but I don't find where Tracktion stores the preset files for its plug-ins.

for the project exchange, yes that should work.
there is also an option to make an archive of a project, which will put everything into one file, that can then be unarchived on the other machine.
