Oh...First of all...a soundfont is a file format developed by EMU to take advantage of their audio dsp chpis. This is now not the case and a plugin that can handle soundfonts (such as SFZ by RGC Audio)Inanimate wrote:1) That soundfont (what is that btw?) is made for OSX and I´ve got OS 9..
Second of all, where do I find "the" ESX24 in logic?
Understans what complete beginner I am people
Do I when all of this is finished, select the sound via the synth or this soundfont program Im supposed to download?
/D
can load and play any soundfonts you have...there are plenty on the internet.
Please remeber that soundfonts have nothing todo with the EXS24 and the instrument files it uses...It was just another option for playing sounds...
You are supposed to load EXS24 from the "track mixer" in logic. From the load menu in EXS24 you can select any instrument files that you have on your HD...EXS24 will automatically search and load the files needed by each instruments file...All of this should be covered in the manual so a good suggestion would be to read the manual and try things out...you will never find out how things work if you don´t experiment...Nothing "bad" will happen either...so read the manual, and try to see how things are supposed to work out...also, If you live near a music shop they will often help out whit any question that you may have...as long as they think that you´re gonna buy something
