like for the midi programs folder, is what im talking about specifically.

you have to always manually scroll all the way back to the bottom, for folders with over 100 patches = ANNOYING.... 8)
Didn't we fix this in 3893? - I was of the opinion that the patch browser was in a really good shape now (ok, there's the confusing left-right scrolling direction)

Anyhow, a full make over of the patch browser is going to start with a newly hired developer (old friend of mine, very experienced) in January.

I hope the new patch browser does not break any links to old patches. And if you change the names of any of the patches that come included with the synths then that will break any links in old live sets (in Ableton Live) that use those patches.

And I hope you keep the folder structure intact with any new tweaks or changes to the patch browser. I have created my own folders within the patch folders in each u-he synth, and would like to be able to find patches in the same folders in the same place under the same name(s).

I'm OK with a completely new patch browser system for Zebra3 or any new u-he synth. I just want to keep the structure of the old ones intact.

I'm sure you know this but any talk of a new patch system makes me panic. :help: :scared:  :hihi:

relax, breaking backward compatibility would be pretty unprofessional don't you think? Something that usually doesn't happen with u-he software..

Sorry, it isn't finished yet, as much as I too had hoped for it... :(

A few of the more complex controls are being overhauled, there's a major speed bump in UI snappiness on Windows, and we're working on some ways to manage UI graphic resources more economically. There's a very good chance this will come out before end of January.

The skin certainly closes the gap between Zebra's, what, 8 years old (?) default skin and the recent breed of synths such as Serum.

I'm looking forward to the holiday season because I can fully concentrate on this ;-)

But you still know the definition of holiday, don't you?

That'll destroy the quiet during the holidays. Instead of coding I'd have to answer emails.

New Quest!! Let's guess Urs secret email address to bother him with suggestions and our deep inner feelings about everything and the answer of space and all.. :D

Hehehe, you'd be surprised - we spend more time together than most couples and while our jobs are stressy, they come with a few perks.
