Weird bugs in MuLab editor.

(Solved) When adding a new instrument track and selecting OrchestralCompanion Strings VST editor suddenly resizes and can not be put back into fullscreen mode. Basically window shrinked by 20% and trying to resize it will just make black bars. Have no issues with BigBang and other VSTs. Was thinking of purchasing a license but this bug made me hold on for now. I am using windows 10 on surface pro 2 and considering how small the display already is - it's kinda a big deal for me.
(Remaining) Also there is another bug with some notes getting stuck during playback (first ones in particular that start at 0 position of a part) and the only way to stop the constantly emitting sound is to mute the track or instrument.

Forgot to sign out to see results after changing scale back to 100%. Since I have two external monitors and a docking station I can live with this limitation I suppose, so might purchase anyway, hoping that the issues will be addressed to make the product better overall.

Please elaborate on this, ideally providing a step by step for how to reproduce what you're encountering. Thx.TheoXD wrote:Also there is another bug with some notes getting stuck during playback (first ones in particular that start at 0 position of a part) and the only way to stop the constantly emitting sound is to mute the track or instrument.

Here is a demo project with this bug. Apparently this happens when a note is sticking out within boundaries even slightly (which happens sometimes during recording).

Apparently after reopening the project it solves itself, but I ensure you this happens right after it has been recorded. Even after I press pause, mute the instrument, play again it is still getting stuck. Changing length of the note manually seems to help, or reopening the project. If you want me to make a video I can try to make one (although it takes a few attempts to recreate it)

Here I've made a video demonstration will remove it after you've seen it. As you can see last note gets stuck if it crosses the repeat line. Resizing it manually or saving+reopening the project solves the issue, but it's distracting.

About the potential note hangs: That's a bug in the Note Dispatcher module, which is used in that Random Choir patch. Will be fixed in the next version.
About the window resize issues: Never saw that before on any Windows desktop machine. Could it be that it is related to using that Windows rescaling feature or any of the other new Windows features special for touch devices?

Yes I was using 125% scaling, you can probably recreate it too and potentially fix it. 2-in-1 devices are very common these days, so devices with smaller screens ship with this enabled by default. By the way I purchased both MuLab and MUX yesterday seeing how much interest you take in bug fixing.

I don't have such system yet, but i plan to go for a new Windows system on relative short term. At this point, small display devices are not yet supported, minimum screen size is 1024x768.TheoXD wrote:Yes I was using 125% scaling, you can probably recreate it too and potentially fix it.
Thx, hope u'll enjoy making music with MuLab & MUX Modular, and it also supports the next R&D steps.By the way I purchased both MuLab and MUX yesterday seeing how much interest you take in bug fixing.

I mean small display sizes not resolution. I do have HD resolution but it's 12" high density display. MuLab scales very well until I load a VST plugin, and not any plugin as it worked great with BigBang Cinematics and a few others. I actually do enjoy using MuLab, it just clicked. Feels like I'm in control compared to all the other DAWs I've recently tried (was never a big fan of DAWs because of their complexity and bloat, lack of customization, routing limitations)

mutools, I hate to bump it, but I think same issue with notes getting stuck also happens with Event Delay (when Random parameter is high enough for the bug to occur) v7.2.21

Thanks, that was super quick
There is another note hanging issue I've experienced but it is related to Sonivox VSTs again (they seem to be very buggy). Might eventually move to Kontakt5 plugins when I can afford those, but sonivox bank sounds great nonetheless: Project_Balum_(Short).mp3
