And resell value

They don't often do sales, so to get the money back if the plug is not to the liking, is more or less certain second hand.

I mean how often does Sylenth1 sell for less than $90 second hand?

Yeah, but, the bigger the discount, the bigger the transfer fee too, as you have to pay 50 % of the difference between the regular price, and the discounted price on top of $10, when you resell it (in this case, a blazin' 32 €, if my maths aren't totally off  so, a total of 42 € transfer fee!), so, not that much of a resell value in this case. Also, Sylenth1 licenses go for less and less used, AFAIC.

Well, I didn't think of the resale value really. I think it is not that good because I think the next time it will become NFR?! Almost sure I read that somewhere.
Activations are also limited to 2 computers. IMO it should be minimum of 3 activations, I think it is more reasonable.

Anyway, I'm glad for this purchase. It really sounds good. Set the tempo to less than 120 and forget about EDM and keep an open mind ;) I like many presets (most of them!). Yes, it doesn't sound analog like RePro~1 or digital like Razor, but it sounds very nice like Dune 2, Spire, Hive ..etc from those great general purpose synths :)
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

That is the right approach, meaning you really want this plug. :tu:

Me, I am on the fence, thinking, OK, I might get my money back second hand if I buy it now. Just another case of GAS trying to force my hand

For many years, actually since its release! and I considered it a synth for Trance (which I didn't like), but reading more about it and also fluffy little something influence, I decided to download the demo and give it unbiased mind. Well, the more I play with it, the more I like it (everything together, the sound, the GUI, the simplicity and the CPU usage). If you take only one thing, then it might not win you, but all elements together? Fantastic!
I think I'll use it a lot as a 'sketch' synth for composing due to its low CPU, then I'll decide if it is ok or I need more analog or more digital synth :D

Do it. Do it now.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.
