I want a feature similar to lmms which is you can easily detect the notes on a scale that I want for example a major or a minor? I know there's a lot of different scales. So I want a little help with mulab here's the link

I'm waiting for this update tnx. :tu:

Just an idea: You could create a note names set for the target rack and create a sub-set of specific notes. Rack -> context menu -> Edit Note Key Names. Ok, that's not exactly the same, but maybe it helps.

I can't really understand this one but I'm gonna try, but if you csn show me (even the screenshot it'll be nice)

So right click on Rack than "Edit Note Key Names", enter name (C4 for C4 in this case) and than your piano roll will look like one on screenshot, with white name for note you entered previously.

Well, this will work for me, now we just need to make presets for different scales and keys across octaves, little tedious, but hey. :tu:

Have some spare time right now, wanna split the job, we both do different scales for starters? PM me if interested. :tu:

Thanks, all the best to you and your loved ones.

Also which octave ranges should we cover, been thinking about not going bellow C2 and over C7?

Also little tip to speed up the process, so double left click as shown bellow, right click>copy, than under right click>paste :tu:

But still, would really wish Jo implemented it like it is in LMMS with exception where you can actually choose root note for scale and also that chords drawing, that thing is great.

range (2) to (7) will be great enough, I also edited a shortcut for (edit keynames) just to fasten up things this is really time consuming but for a while with a little help for fella willing to help we can finish this right away sure buddy let's team up this process, I know they can implement this kind of feature soon. :)

Jo, doing things like this is really really tiresome and quite frankly, I just don't have that much time, so can you just meet us half way here?

My suggestion is just to have an option to put the name as a key, so instead of us needing to write or copy/paste all the notes names, can we just have an option there to use name as the key it's on, that could speed up this whole process quite a lot, so again, if key is C6 where we want to enter a name, we should have option to use that as a name (so C6), there could be some button for it, if not, one can enter desired name, as it is now.

I really can't work with this like it is now, too much hassle and I took to do 7 scales in all 12 keys, it's quite an labor, got sick from it on 1st scale 1st key, go figure. :scared:

I'm sorry but i can't work on all FRs at the same time.
Pls read this: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 9&t=357048
If you try pushing your own FRs, it implictly means you're trying to push away other FRs. That's math.
Timestretching currently is what i'm mainly working on. (and also way too much obligatory admin work, argh)
A specific note scale feature is not yet planned on short term, sorry.
Hope you understand i'm not a magician who can bypass the laws of nature and time and space.

I understand. :tu:

Sorry gammatotchi, I'm bailing out on this one, it's more time consuming than I first taught and I'm already frustrated, not worth it, I'm on vacation. Have a blast.

Hey, pls also don't forget the basic way: Simply lay out your notes on the right keys that are in the scale.

(sorry for my draft posts, in a rush atm)

Well, we tried to make something that can serve everyone as good workaround and valid replacement for an actual great feature, but without at least that button that replaces that unnecessary copy/past-ing of note names, it's just too much hassle.

Your goal is to learn a seven-note scale, but we all learn differently. I like learning-by-playing. Maybe renaming keys on a DAW piano roll isn't the best way for you to learn those notes.
