I purchased this tonight, tried installing it in FL Studio but am unable to pull up the plug-in. Tried installing, deleting, re-installing, creating new sub-folders, copying/moving .dll files. It finds the .dll when I scan for new programs, but not when I pull up the Add field. Can anyone help on how they got it to work?

It installed and was located by Tracktion on a new plugin scan.. don't have FL so I can't help you there...
Final Opinion: Needs Work
Pros:
- Can get some unique sounds out of it
- Great for ambient or soundscape
- Affordable
- Decent Manual
Cons:
- Switching trigger modes on a preset.. doesn't change anything.. tried to change from Sequencer Auto to Sequencer MIDI and pfft patch still start playing when I start the transport. And yes, there's not a MIDI note anywhere, not any MIDI clips, and I tried disconnecting my controller keyboard! Maybe it only works if you create a new patch, will dig deeper when I have the time.
- Preset browser has no previous/next. Poking around in the presets is a pain in the ass clickfest.
- Difficult to control. I'd poke an effector and things would go apeshit.. definitely NOT what I expected.
- Doesn't work as an effect yet, but this is a known issue and is only modestly annoying to me.
If anybody knows of remedies to my Cons, please let me know! Right now this is of limited use and I'm sure happy I got it on sale.

im a little confused as to what you are doing. fls loads it just fine over here.wildinout wrote:I purchased this tonight, tried installing it in FL Studio but am unable to pull up the plug-in. when you say "pull up the add field"...are you talking about the little + on the channel rack? if so...it wont appear there until you add it as a favorite. i would also ask...how do you know it finds the dll? is it appearing under "generators" in the plugin database list on the left side? just drag it from there to your channel rack.
if you can tell that fls sees the dll...then you should be able to load it.

In FL to add a vst you need to go to Add, then More Plugins...then scan for new plugins. FL finds the Dust .dll at this point and I click the check.chaosWyrM wrote:im a little confused as to what you are doing. fls loads it just fine over here.wildinout wrote:I purchased this tonight, tried installing it in FL Studio but am unable to pull up the plug-in. But, when I go to Add then Channel to then add Dust into my project and play with it I do not see Dust with the rest of my vsts. However, if I go to Simple List in the Add Channel I see Dust as well as a Dust 64 bit. Regular Dust says the vst3 can not be found (I only installed vst2 64-bit) and the Dust 64 bit crashes, says there is an error and then shuts down my FL Studio. In 3 years of using FL Studio I have never had this issue occur and I have over a hundred vsts.
I have been in communication with Soundmorph for the past few days and they have been unable to help.

well thats one way. but you certainly dont "need" to do it that way at all. in fact...thats kind of the old clumsy way to do it, i never do it that way.wildinout wrote:

When using Dust has anyone come across Timing problems/delays?
As an example If I take a short percussive grain and have it playing 4/4 it's out of time with my metrognome, even when the emitter is in the centre of the Soundfield.
As the reason I got Dust was to create binaural rhythms using Found Sound etc and this just causes an absolute nightmare when trying to fit it in with other items in my project.
The Midi Indicator flashes in time but you can literally see a delay between the indication of Midi and the output level. Tried with different sounds/samples and even setting the Grain Rate to a time that works with my project BPM.

chaosWyrM, how do you add a plugin to the list in FL Studio without using scan? do you use plugin manager somehow - this would help immensely not to scan every time - ?chaosWyrM wrote:well thats one way. but you certainly dont "need" to do it that way at all. in fact...thats kind of the old clumsy way to do it, i never do it that way.wildinout wrote: In FL to add a vst you need to go to Add, then More Plugins...then scan for new plugins.
