yeah it's exactly as he describes it.. just open the modular area or a mux module and drag one of the meta parameters on another onebibz1st wrote:Hi Jo, dont know if you are aware but if you drag one Meta Parameter onto another Meta Parameter, Mulab crashes.
I know its not the done thing but could happen by mistake and if you have a project on the go..
I should say I am using 7.2.20 Win 7 but it did do the same in the previous version too.

by the way I reported another crash in the 'time stretch audio' topic (with a video this time) but you seem to have blandly ignored that

* New project
* Open Basic Synth
* Open its modular area
* Drag first meta-parm "Q" on the second "Fade"
* A normal dialog pops up, i click ok
* No crash, i can continue to work
That's with MuLab 7.2.19 32 bit on Windows.

Extremely stressful days these days due to a big admin task that has to be done before the new year. I have difficulties playing that video, i can't easily navigate it for some obscure reason. Anyway, i'll try again.

I can't repeat that crash yet. Can you repeat the crash starting from a new project and simply inserting a multi-sampla, then doing the other steps like in the video? Or does it only crash with that specific audio file? If yes then pls email me that audio file. The more you can simplify = narrow down the case the better. Thx.

This is what I do (7.2.20 Win64):mutools wrote:This is what i do:

* Drag Meta Parameter 2 onto Meta Parameter 1
* Crash.
Because it's an application crash, I can't do a video recording - the recorded video is corrupted.

Sorry, my apologies I didn't mean to set you off. Maybe I should have been more patient. And yes, our dear government are a bunch of moneyhungry baboons I can confirm that..mutools wrote:Extremely stressful days these days due to a big admin task that has to be done before the new year. F*** regering Michel, het water staat mij ook tot aan de kin.
Sorry I didn't know you were in alot of stress. Perhaps a little inconsiderate from my side.
I don't think it's related to the sample because I recreated it with various loops although from the same folder, so I'll check it again.
But the meta parameter thing really goes exactly as bibz1 said (on my system anyway and that's mac, el capitan)
I hope everything turns out okay for you, because I would be heartbroken to see development come to a halt or anything.

No it was only after slicing a loop in this specific way. Not by inserting a 'blank' multisamplamutools wrote:I can't repeat that crash yet. I also tried it the way in the video ie by drag-dropping a sample onto the [+] track button then choose sliced sample but also that way i cannot yet repeat that crash.Nychthemeron wrote:No it was only after slicing a loop in this specific way. There are new MuLab 7.2.21 packages in http://www.mutools.com/galaxa/
This new version fixes the potential crash bug when dropping a meta-parameter on another one.
How to install:
Windows: Put the new .exe and .id files into an existing M7.2 installation folder.
Mac: Put the new .app file into an existing M7.2 installation folder.

Weird.. here's a new video. look I just opened a new project, chose a muclip this time, drop it on the '+' sign, cut it from the rack, add a mux module, paste the multisampla in the mux module, delete the mux module, press 'ctrl Z' twice and.. crash.
