Still not clear to me.OneOfManyPauls wrote:MXXX isn't a host for your existing melda effects plugins - MXXX contains its own effects which are unlocked by owning specific Melda effects plugins (unless you stump up for the full MXXX, which gets you all the modules but doesn't get you the individual effects plugins).Kalamata Kid wrote:Checked out many of the included plugin in the MXXXCore
Only the included MFilter is on sale now for $25. Perhaps I missed another?
All the other plugins are free. I already have the MFreeEffectsBundle
https://www.meldaproduction.com/MFreeEffectsBundle
So will I be able to use those plugins inside MXXXCore?
Funny though many on the MXXXCore list of included plugins are not to be found on the FreeEffectsBundle nor on the All MeldaProduction Effects list https://www.meldaproduction.com/effects . Examples: MDelaytap, MFollower.
Ok. It is only $50 and looks like a good deal if the MXXXCore can host the MFreeEffectsBundle plugins. Looks like I am getting aditional free plugins not available for download from the Melda website.
If you look at the https://www.meldaproduction.com/MXXXCore link again, then you'll see that to unlock the limiter module you need either MDynamicsLimiter or MMultiBandLimiter. The free Mlimiter doesn't get you there, and you can't use it within MXXX.
This seems fair, as MXXX is multiband and massively modulatable - which MLimiter isnt.
Suppose I get MXXXcore for $50
I notice that MMorph is on sale to $75
And am seriously considering to purchase.
If I do will it be part of MXXcore?
You did say MXXCore is not a host.
Ooops, I do not see MMorph on the MXXCore list.
So I cannot unlock it within MXXCore.
Not even sure if it is included in MXXX.
So I will have the MFreeEffectsBundle, the MxxCore with a few
included plugins and a scattering of plugins like MMorph
and other individual plugins I buy along the way to use.
Not very tidy but not horribly bad either.
So when it says unlock it it means to purchase.
Correct? And you can only unlock the plugins that are
on the MXXCore list.
But what price does on pay to unlock a plugin?

I like their stuff, but, they're weird. If you don't do sound design, ambient/experimental, or film/post then I'm not sure they're all that useful. I picked upped the plugimon $5 toy which is ok. I thought about picking up evolution and spaces, but, in the end decided that I won't really use them THAT much and they are expensive so I went with the Creative bundle to get evolution and delays. I kind of consider the spaces plugin a bonus.Kalamata Kid wrote:I am looking atpolarsky wrote:If you are going for the complete GRM bundles you can use the $50 plugimon at Dont Crack for a deeper discountUp to 61% off INA - GRM!

Plugimons thread:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6663368
The plugimon tool is shuffling, costs $5, it comes from the classics set. The Creative Bundle has another plugin from that same set called delays. There is also one plugin from Evolution, and one plugin from Spaces.
They are all plugins AFAIK, I haven't even used anything standalone.

I tried since yesterday to get a couple of Impact Soundworks libs before the end of their holiday sale, but I don't get how it works. On their home page it says the sale is on, and so does their facebook page, but I don't see any sale prices on their site. What am I missing?

You're right. It seems they've mistakenly ended their sale early. Welp, I guess that makes my decision for me. Was going to buy their Shreddage rock pack, but now won't be.pekadan wrote:I tried since yesterday to get a couple of Impact Soundworks libs before the end of their holiday sale, but I don't get how it works. In addition you you getting the standalone plugin, buying Mmorph will unlock a module called "Morph" in the Spectral category. I see it's not on the list/image on the mxxxcore page, but I guess this is because it came after that page was made. Here's a pic of my MXXXCore modules. In addition to the modules that come with MXXXCore, it shows the modules unlocked from buying the Mcreativebundle (which includes MMorph) and MDynamicEQ. Unlocked modules are in white:Kalamata Kid wrote:Still not clear to me.

Ooops, I do not see MMorph on the MXXCore list.

Not even sure if it is included in MXXX.
Buying a plugin unlocks the (roughly) equivalent module in MXXXCore, as per the (admittedly incomplete) list on the mxxxcore page. So if you buy MTransient, it unlocks the Transient module in MXXXCore for example. So I will have the MFreeEffectsBundle, the MxxCore with a few
included plugins and a scattering of plugins like MMorph
and other individual plugins I buy along the way to use.
Not very tidy but not horribly bad either.

But what price does on pay to unlock a plugin?
Bear in mind that the mxxxcore modules aren't exact copies of the individual plugins, so there are advantages to having both at your disposal.
And just to make sure we're on the same page - mxxxcore doesn't come with any "plugins" as such, it comes with some enabled "modules" (effects that work only within mxxxcore). Buying plugins gives you standalone plugins *and* unlocks relevant modules within mxxxcore.

Head to Time&Space and ImpactSoundworks is still on sale there. I bought Shreddage 2 there earlier this week and the price is cheaper there than at the ISW store (especially if you don't have to pay VAT and you pay in pounds).Rational wrote:You're right. Thanks! Myself, I wanted to get the Bravura upgrade though, and Shreddage SRP. T&S don't sell either.jsp1979 wrote:Head to Time&Space and ImpactSoundworks is still on sale there. Thanks, I did. I got the code yesterday, with the message that it must be used during the holiday sale in order to get Bravura for $99. Tried buying immediately when I got the mail, but the sale had already stopped then appearently. Seems ISW didn't even know themselves the sale had ended!Rational wrote:The Bravura upgrade can be had for $99 by contacting them directly they say. FYI.
