Preset Save Problem in MTurboReverb

My only previous preset designing efforts was with MXXX – that involved doing active presets. I expect that MTurboReverb preset design works a bit differently since the presets are not active presets this time around. But I’m at a loss to figure out why most of my work is being lost.
I opened my MTruboReverb preset project in Cubase today and saw that much of my efforts from the day before had been lost. Many (but not all!) of my changes weren’t to be seen. OK, I thought it was my error and I would be more vigilant about saving. After a couple of hours of work, and many, many Replaces along the way, I wanted to check that I hadn’t lost anything this time around. So, I switched to another preset and back to my under-development preset. Once again, a few of the changes made in the previous couple of hours had been preserved, but most were lost.
I did this simple test. Brought up the Default preset. Did an Add, supplying a new name of Test. Clicked Edit to go into Simple mode, and there was no editor, as expected. Back to Edit mode. I changed MP1 to have a name and group. Back to Simple mode, and there was the control, as expected. Back to Edit mode. Did a preset Replace (clicking OK in the dialog box). Changed preset to something else and then changed back to the preset Test. Switch to Simple mode and no editor. Back to Edit mode and I see that the change to MP1 had been lost.
I’m probably missing something pretty fundamental here. Anybody have a suggestion as to what that might be?

Exactly! Storing the data takes tremendous amounts of CPU time, not mentioning the resulting settings can be huge. So the plugin optimize the storage, a lot. And of the optimizations is that unused modules (mods, multiparams) are stored only if there is something to store, meaning that the module actually does something.

Thank you! Great tidbit of info to know. I'm surprised this hasn't bitten me before. But this time, I thought I'd be professional about it and actually come up with a design on paper away from the computer. For that I just set up the MPs with names so I could get a screen shot, with the intention of coming back later and completing the setup.jmg8 wrote:Unless you actually add a parameter to the multiparameter it will not save.
Oh well, back to doing things by the seat of my pants.

Hehe yeah, let's be less professional!
