Okey so namm is up soon.

Who can report back on what is happening and tell news.
Lets discuss and have a friendly conversation.
Going be interesting to see if there is anything bitwig been developing that is ready
for public eyes. I hope it will be something! Obviously bitwig is not as rapid with their updates as we come to know em to be.
so this leads me to believe its because they have been working big time for v2.0 i hope we get to know that at namm 2017 and get big insperations for 2017. The daw is soon getting to be 3 years old and a lot of expectation since it has been a lot of quite and discussion. I hope this year will bring exciting news!

I hope new features for Bitwig are presented, even if they don't release versioon 2.0 yet

I think it's better that they do not tell much about version 2.0 too early, because people get annoyed if they think it will be released soon and then it gets delayed again and again. Better announce details when they have a good idea about release day.
And I'm sure they have done plenty of 2.0 development because not so many bug fixes or improvements are appearing to current 1.x versions.

I have an appointment with Mea and Bitwig at 10:30 a.m. on the 19th, however, I doubt I'll be anywhere to report until early that evening. I'm sure the news will be out by then. But I'll try to check in and let you know what I saw if I can.

Shoot, I was tired and I typed Bea, instead of Mea, so you're not crazy if you remember that!

Ill be there the 19th to the 22nd
Ill also be posting on Snapchat, Instagram Story, and Twitter, if you guys care to check out whats going on there. Ill try to post on here too, but the cell signal sucks in the convention center. Simple social media like Snap, and Instagram Story might have to do for most of the event.

Geez, I wish I could drum up that kind of enthusiasm! Too many trade shows. Love hanging out with techs, dread the professional PR guys. Glad you're going to be active on SM as I won't be.

I will write up what I learn from Bitwig later that evening.

A bit off-topic, but maybe not - I'm considering buying a license very soon (like this week), so my question is what's the chance of significant (paid) update being released very soon? I'd hate to spend EUR300 just to find out in two week that I need to spend some more to be up to date.

I understand that all releases up to (but excluding) 2.0 should be free if I buy now, right?

Try hitting the kvr marketplace, a license goes for 150$ tops and carries the same benefit. Paying for 300 for the current state of the wig is an utter no-go imo unless they come out with a proper feat update

Thanks, but I wasn't asking for if it's worth EUR300 but if anyone know if big paid release will be announced soon?

For me Bitwig even at current state has much more features I'll ever need...

There's no official statement on 2.0. But taking into account that the public beta phase for 1.2 was about 4 month long, I'd guess we are still minimum half a year away from 2.0.
