Even though losing out on a 90% off deal, most users will prefer to determine when to be contacted by a dev, and not the other way around.

I really want to like this synth. Great feature set, supports mpe. The filters sound good. But the overall character is just so bland. The oscillators are about the thinnest, weakest of any synth I own. For 10 bucks though of course it's a steal as I'm sure I'll find uses for it, and I'll definitely experiment with ways of fattening it up. I guess I'm just a bit surprised that it gets such high praise.

Yep, you can certainly FX it up! I am also new to Synthmaster, and learning to appreciate its different approach.Echoes in the Attic wrote:'ll definitely experiment with ways of fattening it up.

It's such a personal thing. For years Arturia was criticized for having generic sound. Many found that the new synths represented greater realism and distinct personality. You read similar things about virtual amplifier sims. It is very subjective. The developers must have a hell of a time absorbing the comments as they are often so varied.

Noticed the same thing with Arturia and their sound engine upgrade.
The old engines sound more analogue to my ears.

What's nice about the recent Arturia upgrade is that the original plugins remain available, so any tracks that you've created are able to retain their original sound. I believe that Reveal did this with Spire's 1.1 release too.egbert101 wrote:KV331 Audio recently upgraded their sound engine for Synthmaster, with their oscillators and filters, so now they're better quality. Maybe I was a bit too negative about the sound. It's actually pretty nice sounding, just doesn't do "thick" as well as many other other synths but that's ok. The filters are definitely nicer than some other big synths like Omnisphere and Falcon I think. I'll definitely be interested to see granular synthesis in synthmaster. That will be a good fit.

I've heard that Canada has banned import of vst plugins that have masculine words like master in their name.shonoob wrote:rip me. over a week still 0 sign of license here in Canada.

Wouldn't be surprised! Probably a brilliant social justice initiative by our supreme virtue signaling zoolander prime minister.robotmonkey wrote:I've heard that Canada has banned import of vst plugins that have masculine words like master in their name.shonoob wrote:rip me. over a week still 0 sign of license here in Canada.

Bülent declared yesterday at the turkish TV that he won't send any more a Synthmaster license to any people using the term "noob" in his nickname, because he estimates it is an offense to the quality of the product.robotmonkey wrote:I've heard that Canada has banned import of vst plugins that have masculine words like master in their name.shonoob wrote:rip me. over a week still 0 sign of license here in Canada.
