I would guess we are waiting for Namm to see the secrets revealed, in Tracktion history since 4 quietness a TSC is a good thing it mean they are exploring new Ideas they are the first to bring a lot of things to the music world they seem to always take music to the next thing that's always seems to be ahead of its time but with a mixer added now everyone who wants to use Tracktion can with out that big fallout.
Tracktion was first to bring these things to DAW recording
Single screen DAW
Racks
Freezing Tracks
More than 10 plugins on a Track
In and out to any track
Left to right signal flow
Make any track a bus or aux track
Midi and audio on the same track
Clip effects
Bioteck is a never before seen Synth plugin
The copper reference the first hot rod
Put plugins on tracks or audio clips
.......
The list goes on, they are heading in the right direction in a few more years of being first at major improvements it will be hard to argue who makes the most used concepts in DAW recording to date.

I seen this too. Bioteck is the one thing I don't own yet I was waiting to see if it would go half off it self to 75 like the bundle and the DAW do often, because I have everything else so buying the whole thing over for 100 dollars to me was crazy being I own everything else An I did this before and I only have one melodyne license but I brought the bundle twice witch I had planned to put melodyne on more computers but I never got a new license for it even thofedexnman wrote:Biotek just got an update I think this weekend 40 additional sounds ...Etc etc .
I had purchased it twice.
But I will see if I will purchase it with my T8 upgrade, I would love to get my hands on the SD version.

The SD version is the same as the Biotek that got updated months ago ..... I don't use it much .... Yet ... ... I'm more of a guitar/bass/vocals n drum samples guy ... I'm kinda waiting for T8 before I get those essential plugins ... I like the looks of the EQ and Delay looks interesting ... Someone said very Logic ish .... Biotek is kinda like or similar to Camel Audio Alchemy in some regards ... Surprised it hasn't got as much attention as it should ... You should try the demo again .

I got the demo, the crazy thing is to me it is a true synth that when you really want to use it it would be use to create a sound from scratch so I want ful control, so if I redownload the demo now it will be the SD version.

Should be SD , I bought it when 1st came out and it wasn't yet implemented like that... I think there are some YouTube videos on how to use those features ... I haven't got my feet too wet there , but I have seen the back end of it when I updated it last . The new update had those 40 new presets from that film composer guy ... I got to update it soon. I really don't get why Tracktion hasn't got more popular ? I had got it free Tracktion 1 along time ago ..... Energy XT and Tracktion were the big popular under the radar hosts at the time especially here at KVR and affordable ..Before Reaper got so popular. It was my 1st host to learn ... To be honest I've tried most hosts and don't like them at all .. StudioOne came close though .... Anyhow I hope Biotek demo has that SD back end on it as well as the 40 new presets .....Maybe you'll find those YouTube videos on it ....

Clickbait. Add a sodding question mark to the subject, willya?

It's easy to load wav files in Biotek. The results, though, are not at par as what is being shipped for the main reason that Biotek is built on a new sample platform called Acktion. I believe this new sample format allows tweakings from inside Biotek, which is what would make the use of samples as shipped with Biotek such a fun creative thing.fedexnman wrote:
As far as I know it is not possible for people to make their own Acktion samples. You can create synth sounds as with any other synth (and Biotek is quite good at that), but the deep interaction with samples is not available.
On a related note, I hope that it'll be possible to get new Biotek sounds without having to update the binary itself. Just got the latest Biotek from my account at Tracktion and it's not clear if it was updated at all. I'll start a thread about this.

Longtime lurker, was previously a very happy Tracktion user on PC in the early days before Mackie. I found the program very inspiring to write and initialize ideas with. Like many, I walked when it seemed that Mackie left Tracktion for dead. I switched to Mac/Logic which I still use today, and while I get work done and find Logic very useable, I've never found it quite as inspiring or fun to create with.
I was glad to see Tracktion resuscitated and purchased the upgrades these last few years but it's not my main DAW, just something I tinker with occasionally. That said, I'm watching very closely for the T8 update. I have a feeling it'll be a big step forward for the platform. Maybe my hopes are way too high, but I just have that hunch.

Interesting firsts for Tracktion.
I was not aware of that.
Keep in mind that Fl Studio 13 will likely be released by April 2017.
New features list

Keep in mind that Hollyhock 3 will likely be released about the same time.

Tracktion 8. I look forward to see what has been added.
Vector and ARA are a big plus for me.
Also very important to me is the modular environment.
Love to have the freedom to route the cables as I see fit.
Multi-touch? not sure if it is. Is the mixer multi-touch?
More important is that the VST's are multi touch.
