Hi guys,

just came across a discussion about Analysers at recording.de.
One guy was looking for a Frequency Analyser where he can create a snapshot A and push it to the background of the Analyser View. Then he want's to let the Analyser run again and grab a second snapshot B, A still in background, and thus be able to compare snapshots A and B.
Seems like Hofa IQ-Analyser is able to provide for this feature. Would it be possible with Melda Plugins too?
Or is this feature already implemented somewhere in this jungle of parameters and features ;-)

BTW: I did some Powersynth Experiments and created some patches which I'v added to the Online Preset Exchange as well. Find them in folder "Peter Huber / Frequenzbauzentrum-P". Enjoy...

Hi, :)

There is something somewhat similar under settings->analysis->average infinite. It takes a snapshot of the frequency but only one at a time. If you want to overlay i suggest you look into mmultianalyzer which was created for such tasks.

You can do it with MAnalyzer :)

Analyse the reference audio, and WHILE it is playing through the analyzer, click [Settings, then the Graphs tab and the [Copy Analysis] for the desired graph. After that, click [Paste analysis] in the Comparison panel, enable and configure it.

You can copy /paste an analysis in other MeldaProduction plug-ins (e.g. MEqualizer) too.

You can actually do that directly from the analyzer view, the title on the right contains copy & paste buttons ;)

True, but I forget those :) (even after you had told me what they do). They will be very handy, when I remember.

Thanks for the reply DarkStar and Melda.

That Melda plugins are simply crazy stuff ;-) You name it, Everything in place...okay, almost.

I have reposted the trick into the recording.de forum, sorry it's german: http://recording.de/Community/Forum/Ins ... hread.html

I'm quite curious what they say there. Currently they have found the very pricy Hofa EQ as the only Analyser that can do that ;-)

The big difference is that it is a dedicated feature in the HOFA analyzer, not just a add-on like in the Melda plugins. That's why you can save these snapshots there and build up a library with reference curves. You can adjust their volume for better aligning, solo/mute curves, swap between m/s/l/r and even show the difference of 2 snapshots. By dropping multiple audio files on it, it will analyze all of them and you can save or use them. So it's quite a difference to the workflow and featureset of MAnalyzer in this regards

Actually that's what MAutoEqualizer and MAutoDynamicEq is for, there you can save libraries of long term analyses and actually let the eq set the bands to get similar spectrum.
