Hi,
Is it possible to split an audio stream into multiple bands? Couldn't find docs about it....
Thanks

Bands in the sense of filtering by frequency? Yes - just set up the appropriately configured filters before the downstream processing. Either you can do this with separate sends to a number of target Racks with a filter as the first entry or do it in a MuX.

Mh, but after the crossover the result wouldn't be really linear in frequency response anymore I guess? Kinda hard to find perfect matching filters?
I mean, if I would do like you described, and then summing again (without any band processing), would it still sound the same? Not talking now about zero-delay filters etc.

Not a clue...
How does a multiband split normally preserve anything?

With any real world, aka analog, filter you can get an absolute flat filter response. But you do not get a flat phase response.
Here are the amplitude response (amplified so the red line is visible) and the phase response of a 24dB bandsplit (3 bands, Low, Mid, High).
The Mux patch is attached. It's exactly the same as an analog 24dB Butterworth filter version. If that satisfies your needs and you require more bands in that Mux, let me know.
[edit] the filters in the patch and the measurements are 24dB not 48dB, corrected!
