Can't work out exactly what is new in Polysynth, but it seems like there is still no Sine waveform?
Just can't understand that design choice.
Take an instrument rack put your polysynth and just add an instance of FM to get you desired Sine Wave oscillator. Why do you need it to be in polysynth? Bitwig is modular. If you need anything you just build it, therefore you also don't have a tremolo or vibrato effect as stand alone device.

With the modular nested devices you can shape the possibilities of third party Vsts much to your liking. For example I often use Audio-Mod to make Fabfilter Pro-Q a dynamic EQ to duck frequencies in sync with the snare or kick. Or insert some of my favorite compressors in the frequency splitter to use them as multi band compressor, or add some more LFOs or Envelopes to a synth that does not have enough for what i need, you name it. The modular system of Bitwig is what makes it a cool DAW. Not a frequency analyzer or, freely adjustable track height. These are goodies.

Yep I will. If your company lasts that long.

If a next version is released after the 12 months of your purchase you will get it. You just cannot count that there will be any major release in the 12 months. Whatever happens you can continue using the last version you received during that time.

Yes, you can. This is not a subscription; you own a perpetual license. The upgrade plan is only required if you want access to the latest version, after the 12-month period that comes with your initial purchase has expired./quote]

The truth is that 169 annually is the most expensive of update costs among DAW, I think even protools (some versions) are cheaper.

How are they going to justify that cost if Live next version is the usual 199 for another update cycle of 3 to 4 years, while BW is charging 495 for the same 3 years?

169 is quite unreal for an annual "upkeep" cost. I wonder if they have financial problems.

And good llok to you if you run out of time and Apple breaks everything in their next macOS update.

We all remember the bullshit we had to put up with when Sierra came out.

Nope. Don't really care. I'm not giving them any more money to Beta test their shit DAW. I just came here to see what squirmy responses Bitwig have for their suicide.

Keep in mind that Fl Studio 13 will likely be released about he same time-

When the time come I am looking forward to comparing these DAW's with
a modular environment. They are also multi-touch. Wow!

So, Bitwig team you're telling me that you are going to v2 without first fixing all the bugs of v1 and without even adding an undo function for my Vst(i)'s? I bought Bitwig Studio in Aug 12th of 2016 and i paid full price for the boxed version, why am i not getting at least a full year of free updates too (I PAID FULL PRICE). I feel cheated big time, i hope that they will rethink about charging customers again that they bought new licenses recently. Please at least add an UNDO function before v2!!!

yeah i know, like you i bought bitwig. What I bought was"only pay for upgrades, all updates with features in updates are free". now i dont even get to pay for an upgrade, i pay for a 12 month update plan that i wont

Nice features but I don't get the price strategy. It gives more advantage to new customers, and depreciates faithful users. I paid 259€ for Bitwig 1 and the update will cost me 159€. Total = 418€ instead of 379

Egad. No wonder Bitwig doesn't drop in on this forum very often.
