Tracktion 5 sudden crash.It will not reopen.just spins then nothing.

I get a message from User Account Control :(Show information about the publishers certificate. Change when these notification appear). I tried uninstalling and reinstall...same thing.? It works fine on my other computer. I have Dell XPS 8700, Intel i7, Windows 10. I tried System Restore...no help. At one point it actually opened into the DAW...but when I tried to open a project "poof" it was gone. Please Help ...my studio is at a stand still.

There will be settings files in
c:/users/aprocreator/AppData/Roaming/Tracktion 4/
which you could get rid of before reinstalling if you're not bothered about your settings.
The publishers' certificate though... sounds a bit like your PC is calling home to check for updates. You could disconnect from the web first to see if it still happens. Is the date on your PC correct?

Thanks jabe for the response. I'm still down. Could you explain a bit more about (c:/users/aprocreator/AppData/Roaming/Tracktion 4/ ) How should I delete that ? or what.? I also get a Warning message that says, "The program is being blocked from opening by an ADMINISTRATOR. For more information contact the ADMINISTRATOR". I am the Administrator and I am opening the program as such. As I stated in a subsequent posting, When I go to another User on the same PC the Program opens normally. There are no problems with the opening of any other programs.Thanks again.

Hi,
the way i solved it
go to C:\Users\imale\AppData\Roaming\Tracktion 4
and delete the Tracktion.settings file
open Tracktion and it will work but all your setting are gone
you can create a simple cmd file with the following code
copy C:\Users\imale\AppData\Roaming\Tracktion 4\Tracktion.settings c:\tmp
and then put it on your desktop, execute the file every time you are going to deploy new VSTs or change tracktion's computation or sound settings
that way you will have a backup and the setting will not be gone next time
