I'm really excited about the software and seriously considering dumping my 002, but I'm unclear on one thing. I see that you can't yet loop or "cycle record" and do take after take non-destructively, but can multiple takes be made manually?
What I mean is, can you record audio non-destructively, ie, have a track called "guitar" and have several takes to choose from within that track? Or would I have to create a new track called "guitar take 2" "guitar take 3" and so on?
If it's not currently possible, is it planned for version 2? With automatic looping? Seems incredibly important to me as a piece of tracking software. Can EXT do this?
Thanks!
Potential Dealbreaker: Non-destructive recording yes or no?

Nope. You can't even record anything but midi in loop mode.
f**k knows. Nobody knows anything about T2 except from what they want it to do.
Apparently EXT can do that. Had a gander at help. Lets you loop record for a perfect take then "unrolls" it for your editing pleasure. Apparently.

yes, eXT's loop-recording already works fantastic and Jorgen promised that he will make it even better.
(i.e. autosplitting of mutiple takes)

yes, and the speed at which it grows is incredible -Shane Sanders wrote:My urge to mind-meld with eXT continues! and Jorgen really listens to and cares for what we need.
b.t.w.:
I am convinced that eXT is still something like a sleeper - sooner or later the number of users will explode.
(and the number of users of other applications will implode
