You should wait before to judge, maybe polysynth 2 is as good as Serum :) let's see
Polysynth 2 as good as Serum . Ha ha. The instruments and effects are a joke compared to other daws. Get serious people.

If anything it will take them 3 years to make a fully stable build from what you're all saying. So pick it up an 3 years.

I'm mad they ripped me off because I bought in November so I will not be purchasing it ever but that's just me.

I'll pay 100$ the first year.. No more. Second year i'll pay 169.

haha. There is no chance they're lowering it. So I guess it stands to reason at the bottom sentence was unnecessary. :tu:

I don't mean to derail the topic but I wanted to share this track I recorded over the weekend, using the latest Bitwig 2.0 alpha:

Note: May not be everyone's cup o' tea. It's pretty abrasive in places.

I'm making heavy use of the new HW CV and HW Clock devices, as well as the new modulators, to drive my modular systems. I'm having a lot of fun with Bitwig 2.0 and look forward to the official release.

It's not exactly my cup of tea, but I think it's pretty cool! Love the efx on the guitar. (And I also have a pair of DSMs. Love those speakers!)

I didn't think there was anything abrasive about it FWIW. It was pretty neat.

Nice. I like that music. Has some cinematic qualities! Imagining some darker than darkest cyber trash movie...

Pretty sure if you wait a few months....upgrade will go on sale now and then. So its up to everyone to determine is this update is worth it at the moment or not. Depending how the beta goes. I might wait it out.

Hmm...not sure about gradient buttons, everyone trying to get rid of gradients in 2016-2017...not sure why it needs to change perfectly clean and minimal buttons in v.1.0. Am i alone here?

Post

The gradients are very subtle and imho look great, the whole GUI is lightyears ahead of everyone else.

Post

Yes the GUI is still the best i've seen in the DAW's, but v.1 flat look was more modern IMO.

Post

The gradient on buttons helps with clarity and in this case I find it more modern, it could be slightly toned down for drop-down menus maybe. But there's other, nicer tweaks- the knobs are much better with the black outline removed and a thinner indicator arc, and they've gotten rid of some rounded corners.

Post

Can't wait to see it in action. Hard to tell from screenshots, but hope you're right!
