According to Woody on one of the videos, the initial version of the sampler would not be ready to do that, but a later release would allow it. I can't recall how much later; definitely this year, and, if I remember correctly, within a few months.runaudio wrote:i Wonder can you load and edit your own samples in the new sampler any one ?

Probably an obvious answer to this but, Waveform WILL open Tracktion edit files right? or is this a new save format?

Undoubtedly W will open older T files. Older versions of T may not be able to open W files. The files are basically XML. I expect there'll be newer extra things.Gymnopedies wrote:Probably an obvious answer to this but, Waveform WILL open Tracktion edit files right? or is this a new save format?

Here's the list of previous release dates: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=474571&start=15#p6682487mpoirier wrote:WHEN ?!?
An assessment of the dates for the last four releases show that the gaps between them have been 8, 11, and 17 days. On that basis, it appears that the next release date should be be 26 days after the T7 release, making it March 27th.
On the other hand, the T7 release occurred during a leap year, when March 1st was 18 days after February 12th, so I shall leave others to calculate the release date.
I expect any such results to be Worst Case Scenarios.

T4 was TSC's first version, even if it was mostly a re-badged T3. T3 was Mackie's last version.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Thats a technicality, TSC was formed to take back Tracktion and included Jules.jabe wrote:

Tracktion was developed by Jules in Juce witch he also developed that a few favorite apps plugins and DAW's that are all made in Juce, Jules, Dave and Woody all were in on Tracktion release with Uk Raw Material, and Then US Mackie was the distributor companys. Who you think did all the T3 tutorials that was done by the company? You tell me all I ever known was Jules, Dave and Woody, maybe I am having a Mandela effect

I know Jules created Tracktion in the first place, but it seems* he had nothing or very little to do with making Tracktion 2 into Tracktion 3. Most of the videos about Tracktion 3 are from Streamworks Audio. I don't know where Woody and Dave fitted into things before late 2012.

http://www.musicradar.com/news/tech/mee ... ion-624725Jules Storer: "In the late 90s, I was learning my craft as a programmer in various video/audio companies and was interested in trying to do some music recording on my computer. People who have long memories will recall that DAWs and PC hardware were pretty feeble back then, so building my own didn't seem too unrealistic!
"I released Tracktion 1.0 somewhere around 2001, and Mackie took it over from me around 2003. By 2005, I was no longer involved in the development of it. Woody [James Woodburn] had been the product manager for Tracktion while he worked at Mackie, and in 2011, he got in touch with me to suggest joining forces to take it back and resurrect it."
http://mackie.com/live/tracktion-has-new-homeANAHEIM, CA January 24, 2013 Mackie today announces the sale and transition of Tracktion Music Production Software to the Tracktion Software Corporation (TSC). TSC is led by three principals; Julian 'Jules' Storer, the original creator of Tracktion as well as former Mackoids James 'Woody' Woodburn and Dave Christenson.
