Bruno, I think it might be worthwhile to consider alternative user interface options per what people have said above. Maybe take a poll to see whether a lot of people would like an alternative or whether it's just a vocal minority? In particular I remember AQ and Poly-Ana from a while back, and I really think his reluctance to change the interface probably did cost him some sales, although he eventually opened it up to user-skinnability which I think was a positive move.

Of course, LittleOne is your baby and you may do what you wish here. Just offering some perspective with constructive intent. :)

(FWIW I have no problem with the current interface.)

For me the most important is the sound.

And the readability of the GUI, whatever its style (as long as it is pretty of course). I don't mind that it imitates accurately or not the visual of the original hardware.

The readability and the sound, the sound, the sound...

Eheh, in my previous posts my aim was not to make a "brainwash" and/or to convince everyone that "hidden is better, hidden is better..." :D

I was just trying to explain that from my viewpoint the actual GUI has not this kind of 'huge' limitations in everyday usage.

I'm NOT against suggestions. If in my previous posts it seemed that I was just justifying myself and rejecting your feedbacks/suggestions, my apologies, it is just a misunderstanding. I appreciate anyone's feedback here and I appreciated here the polite way of asking for that features in the previous posts. It's not "just to say", it is true :) . Time ago I also evaluated the idea of making an additional GUI, as suggested. The fact is that it would be not so immediate to bring, it would require a complete redesign of the GUI, since some of modulations/settings are accessible through the OS display, and that would require a different "Sections" redesign also.

The idea behind LittleOne is a "performance synth" like the original hardware, a very complete synthesis system but in a compact, vintage build (similar also to the Korg Microkorg concept). I really understand all the requests for an additional GUI different from the original one, I'm just realistic and I can say that kind of update would require some time to be added. Maybe I'm repeating myself, but I'm really dealing with thousands of aspects to release this product, and I'm making of my best to take care of every single aspect.

By the way also if I said I don't want to postpone the release date further, I can 100% assure that LittleOne ver 3.0 from the very first release day will be a complete product in every aspect, very usable and stable, please do not consider it something "done quickly just to avoid delays". I give you my word for that.:)

P.S.: Several years ago, before starting the deep "renovation" of Xhun Audio development system, I was working on a second analogue synth emulation, temporary suspended but *never* abandoned. That will not have hidden parameters at all, eheh :). It will be a vintage analogue *monophonic* monster, also with its original vintage interface with tens/tons of knobs, all in front of your eyes...

So add the extended GUI in v3.1 or v3.2, whatever. If it takes more time, it takes more time. It's not like we don't understand that :)

Please don't say it's YET ANOTHER MiniMoog emu. I'd say we have our hats full of those by now :) Well, at least "tens/tons of knobs" doesn't sound like a Mini... Hmmm...

....neither it sounds like the schmidt synthesizer (it has the knobs but it is probably not "vintage" enough... ;) )

egbert101 wrote:Well it's not exactly vintage, but it seems the natural next step would be a Moog Sub 37 emulation. I mean, maybe that's too ambitious for anyone to take on, but it's one of the newer Moog synths that makes me all giddy inside, screaming for it. :hihi:
At this point in time, the Sub37 is the only synth i would get (hardware-wise). There is something about the sound and lay-out i REALLY love!

Hi Jeremiah, thank you for your interest, much appreciated as always :)

The amount of work to finish and release LittleOne is not huge at all, the software is really 99.9% complete. But for the reason above, development could have an additional delay.

I really wish you and all other people here (and all people I offered support on social media and by email - I said to them that the software would be available very shortly, as in my original plans) could accept my apologies for a *possible* delay with the release.

I'm a little bit embarrassed because initially I stated to release LittleOne ver 3.0 within Dec 2016, then delayed to Feb 2017 and now it could have a further delay.

By the way I'll try to squeeze my daytime and efforts to offer the final version of the software within a very reasonable time, I really just hope to have your comprehension and patience.
