Hi everybody
I've noticed that the tempo is static in PW standalone; for change it, I have to do it manually on the Audio/MIDI Preferences tab, and it would be great if it changed using a BPM detector VST http://djdecks.be/djdecks/BPMToMidiVST083.exe. I play midi files with direct tempos to it through loopbe and it nails the tempo very fast most of the time, so if I load Artillery VST on PW, its tempo is syncronized even when the song have different tempos.
I have achieved something similiar loading the PW VST version on the Sugar Bytes VST Host, and yeah, the tempo changed since it has a Tempo tap mode and midi learn option for assign a midi note or a CC to it.
The problem with this, is that if I send something with VPMK, it get the tempo right, but as soon as I use a midi file, it just turn to the max tempo it has (250 bpm) and there's nothing more to do (which I hope they fix in the next update).
Since delays or other fxs are sync with host, it will definelly be awesome allow to do this or a BPM detection be implemented for live perfomances (which is my case) where the tempo is changing on the songs.
Cheers
PatchWork BPM detection

Unfortunately there is nothing in any plug-in protocol to let the plug-ins change the tempo (it would be noce though!).
Right now the tempo is indeed a global preference in Patchwork, but we have plans to make changes to it in the future. So maybe when we change this it would be a good opportunity to include beat detection as well!
